As warning for anyone going to eat here using a credit card, don't. They charge a 3.5% rate for anyone using a credit card but they don't advertise this information anywhere. Moving on, I don't usually write bad reviews for bad service as I'm an assistant server at a winery in Central Texas and know how rough weekends could be- nevertheless, I'm writing a bad review for bad service as the potential was there but it just wasn't shown. To start, the place was understaffed (only 2 servers on the clock.) which I see often, even the winery i work at has the same problem, but to the extent that the chef was expediting and serving the dishes to the table which is commendable but the dishes were either incomplete or wrong. My family consisting my parents, my friend, and I ordered a variety of dishes; we ordered shrimp alfredo, teriyaki salmon with rice and corn instead of salad, fajita combo, and pork chops
The shrimp alfredo I ordered came out with a chicken topping instead. Later I got the alfredo back with shrimp, much later I found that the shrimp wasn't cleaned properly and still had the bile on the spine of the shrimp. My mother's teriyaki salmon with rice and corn came with the rice missing, the rice tasted old and looked gray, and the salmon was overcooked. The rice, to say the least was untouched and wasn't supposed to be charged for in the final bill but was. She ordered a Piña Colada that the bartender put too much of the wrong type of rum in... to the point the rum and everything else did not and could not mix, later she got a Dos XX beer w chamoy, but when the drink came there was no chamoy and the server disappeared and we had to flag down a different server to acknowledge the errors and the chamoy/tajin drink situation. The other two orders came out fine (the fajita and pork chops) but the extent of the wrongs in my mother's order was just too much. I hope this helps anyone thinking of eating here. I have no pictures of the things described to show as I didnt think of it at the time but I hope this...
Read moreFood was nothing to remark about as it was about the same quality as McDonaldâs. Staff were rude and condescending. One was wearing a bama shirt but I could tell she was a Walmart fan and not an alumni. She made snide remarks every time she walked by under the guise of âfriendly college football banterâ but it was more from a place of her high horse not realizing her horses was only two feet tall. âiTâs A gReAt DaY tO bE a BaMa FanâFirst off maâam y'all are playing Wisconsin thatâs nothing to be proud of that bama could barely win. Second server was a dizzy beyond belief, and both of them never came to check on our table. We had to flag staff down if we needed something. Also when we got there I asked a male bartender for the Aggie game when the bama game was over. When I went back and to ask for it after they bama game I was told that three guys up top asked for it when we had been there for over an hour at this point and they had just got there not long ago. Tried to work with the server on another tv but she was so unaccommodating and rude. This place also automatically adds a 20% gratuity which was not deserved by either server. They also have a 4% credit card fee. KNOW YOUR RIGHTS AND HAVE THEM TAKE IT OFF. THEY CANNOT FORCE YOU TO PAY THAT. All around this place could not care less what they do because they are scamy and will nickel and dime you in the hopes that you arenât paying attention. This whole place needs to be investigated.    Read moreMy friends and I visited this place on a Sunday afternoon when business was light. It did have a nice "sports bar" type atmosphere with many televisions and a friendly staff. The food however, was very average at best. We ordered the fried mushroom appetizers, which to our surprise were sliced and not whole as they are in pretty much every other restaurant we have been to. I do not know if this was done as a cost cutting measure or to make the appetizer seem unique but in either case they were lackluster even at the $5 price point. Additionally, we ordered some fried steak fingers appetizers which did not seem to be very well tenderized and therefore were chewy and tasted oily. Again, this appetizer was $6 so perhaps my expectation was higher than the price point here. When the food came, we found the fried fish to be very bland as if the mix needed more spices added. Also, the shrimp which we had in fried, coconut and Diablo form while tasty were relatively small again, compared to what we have received in featured platters in other restaurants. We did not order any alcohol on this trip so I can not speak for the bar service but those who were there seemed to be enjoying themselves. For this reason, I would consider revisiting this business as it seems like a good, fun place to have a beer and watch a game but I would likely go elsewhere if my intent was to sit down and have lunch or dinner.
No anti-gun signage was visible at the rear entrance so my suggestion, as always would be to keep it...
