I forgot how much I love Franks diner now that it’s a little out of the way.
Absolutely one of the cutest joints in town and one of the places I like to take visitors because it’s just so fun and the staff is absolutely amazing.
The coffee i think is the best in town. They have an amazing blend that is just absolutely delightful.
The food is phenomenal as well and tiu can get some things here that you cant elsewhere such as elk steak, boar bacon and fried green tomatoes. Yeaaah buddyyyyy!!!
We got the fried green tomatoes in creol sauce and I had to stop my daughter from licking the plate LOL. We also got the sausage link and eggs plate which was very good and the eggs were cooked perfectly. The rye bread was so good too. And my daughter loved the fish and chips. She was so excited! And the tater sauce was one of the best I’ve ever had!
Usually there is a decently long wait and they provide hot coffee in the gazebo thing outside to enjoy on your wait but going in at 3pm obviously was a good move on my part as the longest part of the wait was waiting to use the restroom.
There is bar seating up front where you can pretty much seat yourself and watch the cooks do their thing which is pretty fun. The seats are pretty comfy too! Otherwise there are a bunch of booths in the back including some little half sized ones to provide extra tables for small parties despite...
Read morePHENOMENAL. I really enjoyed my experience at Frank’s Diner.
I have high expectations of diner and diner-adjacent establishments. Striking a delicate balance between delicious and satisfying food with an unassuming, no-frills dining room.
The staff here is wonderful. Everyone—the host, the servers, and even the cooks—were welcoming, friendly, and helpful. They made me feel very comfortable eating alone at the bar. I liked that very much. Special shout out to my server, Samoana, whose efficiency is only matched by their warmth. A+ to them for customer service!
As for the food, I indulged. Gravy and onions on the hashbrowns was real nice. I ordered the hashbrowns extra crispy and they came out perfectly, not burned, just beautifully crisp, almost toothsome, with a fluffy interior. As for the star of the show: two of Frank’s Classic Eggs Benedict. I am blessed to have had many Eggs Benedict in my lifetime, across the U.S. and the globe. Frank’s are special. First, they were perfectly cooked. Great technical skills, chefs! I loved the flavor of the eggs they use. The hollandaise was rich, a very balanced flavor profile. The dish was so satisfying and I ate everything. And I wanted more, but resisted.
I adore this gem in Spokane. Thanks for a GREAT...
Read moreFrank’s Diner is a charming Spokane staple and a must-visit for breakfast lovers. Housed in a beautifully preserved old railcar with a sign proudly stating its establishment in 1906, it’s full of character and history. The checkerboard floor, cozy booths, rich wood finishes, and stained glass accents give it a nostalgic, welcoming feel. Seating includes both booth and “bar” counter options, adding to its classic diner experience.
The menu is extensive and includes some fun regional touches. I ordered the Country Benedict with one yolky egg; delicious! The biscuit was grilled to perfection before being topped with sausage and yummy white gravy. The hash browns were nicely crisped, and everything hit the spot as proper comfort food should.
Service was excellent, being quick and attentive. My bacon came out just the way I requested (extra crispy), and my server even double-checked to make sure it was cooked to my liking. The kitchen clearly runs efficiently because my meal came out fast & hot. Coffee was decent and refilled regularly.
Frank’s also serves beer and wine, and with such a consistent and satisfying menu, I can imagine it becoming a regular breakfast or brunch stop if I lived in the area. Highly recommend for a tasty dining experience in...
