If you follow my restaurant reviews, you have by now figured out that I like Mexican food. Torero's is certainly in that category. Another authentic Mexican restaurant with a menu full of tasty regional cuisine from the interior of the country. The fish and seafood selection was reminiscent of the trios to the coastal parts near Cancun and the Yucatan peninsula. I ordered my usual chips and cheese dip. Their cheese was lightly flavored with jalapenos and had a bite that built and lingered, but did not overpower. Excellent start. I ordered a Coke in a bottle because they give that choice. It's not as carbonated as the fountain is. The salsa that accompanied the chips was more on the chili flavored side than is my liking, but enjoyable nonetheless. For my lunch plate, I ordered Tacos de Carbon. It was three corn tortillas with steak and sides of rice & bean, guacamole, and lettuce/tomato with a bit of cilantro. It reminded me of the street tacos I used to love so much. My wait person was friendly and attentive even though he also had a party of 15 seated in my section. He kept a watchful eye on my single person booth which indicated to me he was engaged and hard at work I paid the tab at the table and finished off my visit with some pictures of the place...enjoy y'all!! You won't be disappointed! Have a great day!

Toreros is my FAVORITE Mexican spot in Erie. Normally, I get the fried chicken chimichangas. Tonight i wanted to try something different. As usual we were greeted by our server with fresh chips and salsa at our table before she took our drink order. Pacifico with lime is my beer of choice. After a few minutes we all decided on what we wanted to order. My husband got the toreros plate, which he said was amazing. I got the macho burrito which was stuffed with ground beef, seasoned rice and refried beans topped with an enchilada sauce, diced tomato, lettuce and cotija cheese. Sour cream on the side. For extra goodness I got a side of queso to drizzle on top. My youngest followed suit and got the same thing except wanted the "veggies on the side". It was massive and probably the best burrito I've had in a long time from a restaurant. My middle son is mor picky and decided on the nachos without tomato and added some green chili hot sauce on top. He inhaled them. My oldest also got a burrito. He chose the fajita burrito but also got a side of queso. He too inhaled his food. Needless to say, we all enjoyed our meals to the fullest. The staff as always were friendly and nonstop on the go as it's a Saturday night and it's always busy. 10 out of 10. Can't wait to go back.

Decided to try this Mexican restaurant.. we love Mexican food! They were pretty busy…. Which is a good sign . Complimentary chips and salsa ( 2 small bowls/cups) were brought out right away … very good .. the salsa bowls are a little too small . The menu said refill salsa/chips would be $1.25… I ordered a refill and got a basket of chips and only one little cup of salsa ( maybe 3 Tablespoons in all). Should come with 2 … in my opinion. ( were charged $2.25). My mother and I ordered the cheese filled Chili Relleno pepper platter … my daughter had a chicken enchilada… which was good . Platters came with refried beans and rice. The rice was a bit dry .. Our Chili Rellenos came out totally FLAT and over baked … I also detected a freezer burn taste while eating them. But arriving totally flat was very not acceptable .. where was the cheese? Not like Relleno peppers I’ve ordered in other restaurants… they are supposed to be filled and not flat /deflated. Huge variety on the menu … The staff was nice .. they were very busy… we will definitely return and try another menu platter, etc..

Well how do I put this nicely best i can forst the waitor that waited on us was super nice I did like that thats bout it he was very unorganized didn't get all the items we asked for when we ordered not that is a bad thing but my drink was incredibly strong I got one of the blue margaritas all you need is 1 lol my mother in laws drink she didn't get what she asked for at all, hardly was able to understand the waitor could use a little bit of English language studies not being mean when I say that I or we couldn't understand what he was saying is all super nice guy tho, the food yeaaahh it was unique to say the least I ordered a burger n fries and had to put everything together ket mustard mayo lettuce everything was all separated?!?! I go out to eat so I dont have to do that i was a mess after doing so n the burger was a frozen patty pre pattied I could keep going on anout others orders at the table but we had 12 ppl, it was very small inside I felt squished inside of a canbarely had elbow space but ill leave it right there its worth the visit if you have 2-4, ppl max but if you have a big party you may as well go elsewhere for a more comfortable space to eat in the food was okay service was okay at best our server was great accept couldn't understand him, and having to put our food together or our whole meals was not so pleasant hopefully they upgrade update or whatever to expand that place its got good potential and all the waiters n waitresses were zooming around every corner trying to deliver food its amazing none of them...

I did not want to write this but I tried calling to tell them that I just picked up some chicken fajitas and that there were no soft tortillas to go with it. Kind of hard to eat a fajita with nothing to wrap it. I had already driven all the way home. I just wanted to communicate this information to them and tell them to be more careful. I was not looking to get anything for free, I did not want to drive back to get the tortillas. At the time, I was not happy but not angry. However, I am now mad after them continuing to hang up on me. The person who handed me the fajitas (who I even tipped) answered the phone. She said she could not hear me to call back. I called back believing her. A person appearing to sound male answered the phone and he said he could not hear me to call back. I called back again; the fax rang in my ear. I waited and called back the 4th time and the same person who handed me the fajitas, said she could not hear me again and hang up. It odd that they could hear me when I used the same phone calling from my home when I place the order as when I called to complain about the missing food! I moved to different locations in the home for each of the 4 calls. The last call was made from the same spot I was in when I placed the order using the same phone. CAN YOU HEAR ME NOW! Next...
