🍕 Eddie & Sam’s NY Pizza – A Taste of NYC in the Heart of Tampa 🍎🗽
If you're on the hunt for authentic New York-style pizza in Tampa, Florida, look no further than Eddie & Sam's NY Pizza. Nestled in the heart of downtown Tampa, this legendary spot has been slinging massive, foldable slices since 1998, and they don’t just claim to bring the New York experience — they literally import real New York water to make their dough. Yes, real NYC water, because true New Yorkers know the secret's in the crust.
🍕 The Story
Eddie & Sam's was founded with a mission: bring real-deal New York pizza to Florida, without compromise. For over two decades, they've kept it old-school — huge, crispy-yet-chewy slices, minimal grease, and bold, classic flavors. Their commitment to quality and authenticity is what’s made them a go-to for locals, tourists, and displaced New Yorkers alike.
😋 The Taste
Let’s talk about the food. These slices taste like home — if your home is a walk-up in Brooklyn. The pepperoni slice is a crispy, savory explosion of flavor, with just the right amount of grease and that signature NY-style snap when you fold it. The meat combo slice with sausage and pepperoni is equally satisfying — hearty, seasoned, and balanced perfectly with the melty cheese and thin, golden-brown crust.
The crust alone deserves its own fan club. It’s soft in the middle, crispy on the bottom, with that unmistakable New York tang thanks to the imported water. It’s not just pizza — it’s a slice of New York in every bite.
📍 Location Vibes
Located near Tampa’s Riverwalk and downtown hot spots, it’s the perfect pit stop for lunch or a late-night bite. Seating is casual and busy — grab a slice and people-watch while enjoying the smell of garlic knots and fresh-baked pies wafting through the air.

Read moreUpdate from uber eats. Their pizza cones very late from them and in a wrong car with a guy instead of the girl. He made many stops for a long time before drop even though it said a certain time, it was way later. off than what uber eats said, kept getting pushed back by increments. And he was a she, There was no marina sauce with the mozzarella sticks so what is the point. Everything was room temp. Never had this happen before. But I order here a lot and is inconsistent with quality, bake time and what you get size/wize. So what am I suppose to do? Moving next to lees grocery and will get from there.. Expensive and not worth the hassle. Loyal but (50% quality goes down for delivery and thatnain’t good enough peace and dip out.
Before I was drinking at hidden springs around 4 on a Friday and heard that I could order pizza from there to to get delivered to there. I got the biggest pizza not knowing how big the slices were, get the smaller ones. Omg can’t fit in anything known to man.
I asked for extra crispy. I am from New Haven so I like it cooked almost burnt.
The pizza came about 15 minutes too early than my phone told me maybe bc it’s so close but it was like school pizza done. Not even any undercarriage char.
It looked very good though so I took it home to do it up New Haven-style. But the slice was too big to put in the oven. But ir was good, very good. And maybe I order a medium next time.
I will char it all up and haven’t had a good eggplant pizza since Modern in new Haven. Different size, differ temp, everything would have been spot on if just for 15...
Read moreThis has often been my go to pizza place when I’m in Tampa for work. I usually come here a few times a year to eat. Unfortunately, today was the last time I’ll give them my business. After I walked out with my food to go back to my hotel, there was a homeless lady sitting at a table outside of the restaurant, and I asked her if she would like some food. She and her friend wanted a slice of pepperoni, so I went to buy it for them. The manager told me I shouldn’t buy food for the homeless because they eat like eight times a day with food that people give them (I highly doubt that, but why would he care if it means more business for him?). I said I volunteer with the homeless in Michigan, and that I wanted to buy them some food. When I was walking out, a homeless man asked me to buy him a slice, so I went back in to buy him a slice, that same manager, then refused to sell me any more pizza. He said I couldn’t buy any more food for the homeless. I told the manager it would be my last time eating there if that’s his attitude toward other people, and he just shrugged his shoulders and said he didn’t care. That kind of attitude is very sad, as the homeless are people too, they just have some unfortunate circumstances at the moment, and need some help. If we would all just do a small part to help them, there would be very little homelessness anymore, but unfortunately, too many people have attitudes like this manager. I hope you’ll join me in not giving this place any of your business. FYI, Jimmy John’s down the street was more than willing to sell me food for the...
