Tru Vegan Creamery — Restaurant in Tampa

This was my first time here. I asked for 2 scoops with Chocolate syrup and graham crackers. The attendant said my order was plain and suggested other options to add. I decided to add whip cream. Thinking she rang everything up I paid and waited on her to give me the order. She gave me the two scoops, with the graham crackers. I asked if she remembered to add the whip cream. She said no she didn’t. I asked how much extra it was and gave her the difference. I walked out thinking my chocolate syrup was in the bag but then decided to check just in case while at my car. And it wasn’t in the bag. I went back and in a told her she forgot my chocolate syrup and she said she didn’t ring me up for it……so I paid over $8 for ice cream and graham cracker crumbles, not including the tip I left her in the tip cup? I said, well I asked for the chocolate syrup initially and she said, “You are pushing it”. With that, I said nevermind and just left. I won’t be...

Great ice cream and so glad there is an ice cream shop for people allergic to dairy like myself. However, we have been to the shop on 3 occasions in the last 2 months between 12p-5p on a Saturday and Sunday, and the shop has been closed with no sign on the door as to why. Even as recent as 2 weeks ago - closed on a Saturday and within posted operational hours. Calling doesn't work because no one answers, and we live in Wimauma so it is definitely going out of our way to drive there. If there are staffing issues or whatever (which we understand), please at least post a sign and update your voicemail to state the shop is closed so customers are informed and not wasting time and gas. It's been quite disappointing, and we really want to see this...

Tru vegan…… is truly vegan, everything in tru vegan is vegan. Not only are they fully vegan but their food doesn’t taste vegan at all. I’m not vegan and I still love their food and I can’t taste the difference at all….. in fact, when I first tried their ice cream I forgot it was vegan. They have a wide range of vegan treats including, ice cream, milkshakes, and smoothies. They also have lots of gluten free options. In addition to all of these things their food is delicious!!! The chocolate drip with brownies is my personal favorite but all the other flavors are spectacular as well. And the customer service is impeccable! My family and I are regulars…it’s worth the 45...
