Jilberto's Taco Shop — Restaurant in Temecula

We ordered 70 rolled tacos, 20 Tacos, 20 enchiladas and the giant burrito for a graduation party on a Friday. Picked the food up at 3pm and immediately put the food out to serve. Tacos and rolled tacos all had the toppings on the side (not by choice) and were all so hard that they broke pulling apart to fill and eat. On Monday, I called to let them know that all though everything else was great, the tacos and rolled tacos were all thrown away and inedible. I was not looking for my money back, but credit or some kind of discount. The woman manager was so rude! She said it was my fault for ordering them with filling on the side. I said that I didn't order them with filling on the side. She then said it was my fault because when they sit out they get hard, I said they were served immediately and all the shells were breaking and getting thrown out because nobody could fill them. She asked me what I did with the food, and when I told her it was all thrown out, she started yelling at me and asked "well, what do you want me to do about it" and HUNG UP ON ME. We spent over $300 and the only thing that could be eaten was the burrito. I am so disappointed. I understand that I should have called that night, but I was hosting a graduation and couldn't...

Every time I stop on this side of town, I love dropping in here to get the famous "california" burrito.

I wanted to take the time to write this review because of something that happened to me (my food, actually), and they went the extra mile just to make sure I was completely satisfied.

So, after I ordered my burrito and paid for it. Waited for them to cook it, and the lady working brought me my burrito in one of those white paper bags (the smaller ones). She threw the napkins in and the limes in the bag also, just how I like it.

Well, as I'm walking out the door and as soon as I turn the corner, the bottom of the bag breaks, and my burrito (unopened mind you) falls and hits the floor. I'm not really one to get grossed out about germs, but I went back in the ask for a plastic bag to put everything back into. Well, the cook saw this, and he actually made me a whole other burrito for free! I told him he didn't have to, and I was fine with what happened, but he insisted! Now that's what I call 5 star customer...

Vibe: This place was a great Mexican option open that was open late night. It offered some seating but can be better at arranges to accommodate larger parties.

Service: the service was exceptional, the folks behind the counter were fun and energetic and demonstrated knowledge on the menu.

Food: that night, being my first time there, I ordered 5 types of meats in the small taco tortilla. I loved the tacos, the tortillas were flavorful and crispy and well filled with meat. The green salsa had a kick to it but it was bell balanced with the cilantro and onion present in the taco. I’m addition the guacamole was rich and creamy, it paired great in each taco.

Recommendations: Wider selection of salsa and condiments, there was only chip sauce and green sauce, no Coke’s onions, no lime, no radish. Some music would elevate the experience, it...
