Come for the pizza, stay for the ambiance!! Wow, if this place only served bread and beer I would continue going back! I've tasted some good bread in my lifetime but I've never tasted something so light and flaky while being so satisfying with the mix of butter and garlic flavors, tear a little off, dip it in ranch and I'm afraid you will be in heaven! I went for the pizza and expected this place to be like all the other pizza places where you walk in order your pizza and wait around until it's done then walk out not having any real memories of the place and not feeling like taking the time to write a review either good or bad about the place, just chalking it up to another take out experience that goes in the no memory bowl. Well this place was far from that! I walked in and instead of being greeted by a server having no interest in her job I was welcomed in to the establishment by a lovely lady asking my how my day was and where would I like to sit. I had to pause and then tell her I was only there for carry out where she promptly handed me a menu and started recommending food items for me to enjoy. I ordered the Large Meat Lovers as that is my normal go to pizza and then my expectations was to wait around blankly staring at the wall. To my surprise I was guided towards the bar where the same waitress offered me a beer or wine or water and with a smile that I couldn't refuse. I understand for a small location they aren't able to offer a wide variety but it wasn't really the food or the idea of sitting that convinced me to order a beer when I only came in for carry out, it was the hospitality I received making me feel like I just walked into my grandmas house for dinner with the family. I know it's an pizza place but they make you feel warm and welcomed. I definitely recommend this place and definitely recommend all of the food on the menu. After getting home and eating the pizza it lives up to the recommendations that brought me in to Tony's...
Read moreI gave it 2 stars because I do love the food… however our waiter we’ve gotten almost every time we’ve been in has made us not want to ever come back… Eddie is rude and unprofessional. I believe that he is salty about not being tipped as his attitude had changed but it was a simple mistake on my part and I was planning on apologizing and tipping him extra well the next time we went in… only to find him being so rude to us. I ordered a kids meal.. in his rush to leave our table he apparently didn’t hear that and when he brought the check charged me for a regular order of spaghetti… I pointed out that I had ordered a kids and he starts arguing with me and telling me I never said that… when I know what I ordered… he complained and talked his smack under his breath as he went to fix the ticket… we asked for extra bread like we do every single time we come in and THIS time he said “I can’t. The kitchen won’t let me give you bread.” Like what?! Why not?! Charge me for it idc but the blatant just not wanting to serve us was insane and like ok go get us a different waiter…. Whatever we gave it a little time and decided to give it another try cuz again LOVE THE FOOD! We went in and guess who our waiter was! Eddie… no greeting the first word out of this man’s mouth upon approaching our table was how he got in trouble last time and it’s my fault and further telling me I can’t order off the kids menu when this had never been an issue before… I’m a nice person but when you come at me crazy best believe I can get crazy too…. So I responded with how he should’ve slowed down and actually listened instead of trying to dismiss me when I was ordering and he wouldn’t have missed the fact that I ordered a kids meal. You bringing me a full order is your fault not mine. And you should’ve gotten in trouble for it as it was your mistake…. Take accountability and lose the attitude. It’s sad that he has ruined Tony’s for us. Do...
Read moreI don't get to be out in the The Colony much, but when I do, I try my best to make it to Tony's. I stumbled upon this unassuming strip mall location looking for pizza and while it definitely delivered in that respect (in the sense that they achieved their goal admirably) for both regular pies and calzones, other traditional Italian-American fare is top notch as well. Marinara, for instance, is one of those things that is easy to make but difficult to master. I'd argue Tony has achieved it, or very very close to it. It's a masterful blend of savory and salty with just a hint of sweetness all in a texture that's neither too smooth nor made up of gigantic tomato chunks.Of course, while I have't sampled everything on the menu, I can guess that it will be quite tasty. No restaurant review will be complete with a discussion of its pricing and staff and I am pleased to say that both are also very good. I have never had a bad server here as all of them have been friendly, attentive, and well informed. As for pricing, it's very reasonable with $6-9 lunch specials, and the vast majority of the menu at $10 or less. Quite nice. Overall, it's a place i try to visit as often as possible, and I lament the fact that I don't live near enough to it to get it delivered or...
