Updated Review: After posting my initial experience inside this James Avery location I was contacted by the manager Courtney. Courtney sincerely apologized and invited us back to the store. Upon our return Courtney made us feel very welcomed. I still feel like the atmosphere is not as friendly and upbeat as the other two James Avery locations I've visited but Courtney is very cheerful, friendly, and willing to help customers out.
I'm not happy with this location(located in The Woodlands Mall), at all. The sales people were not friendly, professional, or helpful. They were snotty and acted as if we shouldn't be in their store. Even though we were treated so poorly, I still bought my daughter a charm bracelet because it's what she wanted for her fifteenth birthday. I told her she probably wouldn't leave with the bracelet today because the other store (Conroe location) that I went to the day before told me it needed to be sized and the charms put on. I decided to wait and take her in to pick her bracelet and charms so it was how she wanted. My daughter was excited picking out her bracelet and choosing her charms. Once we got it all picked out we went to the register and the woman put the bracelet and each individual charm in a separate pouch. I was like alright I guess we put them on. I paid and they sent us on our way. We get home and my daughter says how do I put these on and I check it out and realize they need to be soldered on. The sales woman didn't say anything to us about charm installation. She just wanted to make the sale and get us out of the store. Now I have to go back in, I'll be going to the closer location with the more professional staff in Conroe, to get the charms installed. Not happy to spend a ton of money and have to go back because the sales people think we look less than good enough to be in their jewelry store. They weren't busy me, my two girls, and one other woman trying to get her charm bracelet fixed were the only people in the store with more than a half dozen sales people on the floor. Do not judge a book by its cover. Just because you assume I don't have the financial means to be in your store because we don't look part doesn't make it so. Every customer regardless of how they are dressed or their race deserves to be treated with respect...
Read moreIf I could give this location zero stars I would after what happened to my wife today. I’m also very seriously considering never giving anymore business to James Avery but at minimum will never visit the Woodlands, Tx location again. My wife went into this location (often in the area due to work) to look for a new charm for her bracelet today and when she came in a brunette sales associate saw her and did not welcome her in and did not offer her any assistance. My wife went around and looked at every case thinking that someone would come and ask if they could help her. My wife is a well dressed, professional executive and there were no other customers in the store. Another lady (customer) walks into the store and the brunette sales associate immediately walks toward that person and welcomed her and asked what she could help her with and proceeded to assist that customer. Then she passes by my wife, looks her up and down and says “you ok”? Why did she not ask my wife if she needed to see anything and if she could help her the same as she did the other person? My wife left due to this blatant discrimination. There were also other sales associates in the store. Again, no other customers were in the store. I’m appalled and disgusted that this type of behavior which clearly can only be described as racial profiling is allowed to occur in any establishment owned by James Avery which is a family owned Texas headquartered company. According the the Better Business Bureau, this is actually a frequent complaint. It’s truly a shame that this is part of your brand and legacy! To the brunette lady that was so extremely rude to my wife… shame on you ma’am. I hope we never meet and I hope no one ever treats anyone in your family the way you treated mine. #disrespectful #ignorance...
Read moreBest customer service. We drove from Pearland for the weekend for my wife’s birthday and decided to check out The Woodlands Mall . We had a bad experience at another location months ago but still decided to give James Avery another chance. And I must tell you I’m glad we did. We were taken care of by Darius and Barbara. They went above and beyond to make sure we were satisfied during our visit. Very welcoming and great customer service, I also noticed how they have more of a personal connection with their customers, something I haven’t experienced in a long time. Thank you again for the experience. My wife and I really appreciate it. We will be back . It was worth the drive, thanks again to...
