Bazzi's Pizza — Restaurant in Town of North Elba

I placed online order with delivery on pizzeria's website. I chose dishes based on photos and name on menu, because there is no food description on website. I ordered cheese calzones, chicken pizza and breaded mushrooms. When food arrived, I took the boxes, handed them to my husband and left on business. When I returned, I was horrified to find that delivered food was technically right, but looked completely different from pictures. My husband didn't know what it was supposed to look like, so he was extremely surprised why I ordered such a disgusting meal on our last night at Lake Placid. Cheese calzones is the only thing that looked like picture in menu. In the attached pics, you can see expectations/reality. Instead of mushrooms in cheese sauce on bread croutons, we were brought mushrooms in breaded, very oily and with a taste of bitterness from stale butter. Instead of pizza with vegetables, beans, cheese and chicken, as in the picture, we got a pizza with cheese and chicken, made very sloppy. I did not even taste pizza, my husband ate one piece, and he did not like it. Once again, there is no food description on the menu, no notes that the dishes do not correspond at all to what is in the pictures. I called the restaurant to leave a complaint as my last night of vacation was absolutely ruined. And after explaining the situation to manager, I heard a reproaches that I had to order food based on the name, and not on the picture. Moreover, he confirmed that the website does not have a description of the food or a warning that the food does not match what is displayed in the menu pictures. He said that I must to understand that I have to order only by name, I have to know what I order, even if there is no description of the food, and that I should not complain, because they are very busy, they do not have time to deal with the website and put there up-to-date information or truthful photos. After we argued for 5 minutes, and I heard that it was my own fault that I didn't know how their food look like I said they could come and take the pizza back and for two dishes out of three, I want a refund. The manager said that he would return the money for everything, we can keep the pizza. As a result, the evening was ruined, I threw away the pizza and the remains of other food, we went to dinner to another place, because I tasted only a couple of mushrooms and remained hungry, the mood was terrible after communicating with the manager, especially after his reproaches. It is very unpleasant to have such a negative experience on the last night of your vacation. I do not recommend ordering food delivery here, and I do not think that the food in the restaurant...

When we looked on Google we saw this place said open until 10p. We got there about 9:30 and were told they were closed and we had to take our food outside in the rain and cold to eat. Meanwhile there was a couple sitting in there with an entire pizza.

When we were handed our food, we weren’t given plastic utensils or napkins and when asked for utensils, the girl working was clearly bothered to have to do more work.

There were no trash cans outside so I had to go back in to throw the trash away. I decided to ask what time the closed and mentioned it said 10p online. I got an attitude and the girl says, “Idk, it’s just kinda whenever each day.” Then when I walked back outside she stared at me through the window as I stood there to talk while others finished their food.

It was a very strange vibe in there, almost like we walked in on something going on that wasn’t good. Tons of attitude and terrible service. The food was mediocre at best as well.

10/10 will not...

Food isn’t bad. The service is the worst you can find. I asked the waiter for cold water she said they don’t have any ice. I later asked how much a cold bottle of water was. She said it was $2 i adviced her to get an ice machine as serving water without ice is not normal for any place. She said the machine was broken. She later came back to my table with ice water and said one of her peers heard they got ice from a neighboring place. #1 no local stores that sell ice. #2 how’d she not know they purchased ice? Finally, never lie to a customer, they can always tell. They wanted to sell their $2 bottle water and destroy the planet with plastic!
