I go here frequently. I'm moderately ashamed to admit that. The food is always great. 5/5 stars for that. The 3/5 above is for two reasons:
I love Five Guys. When I learned they have an app that lets you order ahead so your food is ready when you get there, I was really excited. I tried it out and ordered my food at home before I left. It said my food would be ready in ~15 minutes, which is just about exactly how long it takes to drive there. I headed on my way. I got there and had a seat near where they call for orders to be ready. I waited 10 minutes. Nothing. I walked up to the counter and asked if there was an order ready for my number. They said no. I waited another 10 minutes. Already, this was taking approximately 19 minutes longer than I had expected. :( I asked again about my order, and they looked at me confused. I explained I had been waiting for my internet order I had placed over 30 minutes ago. They then reached for a bag of food that was tucked under the counter and looked at the receipt. "Is this yours?" It did indeed match my receipt. "Oh, we still need to make your fries." I watched them make my fries, and then realized that my food had indeed been finished before I arrived, and sat there getting cold and soggy under the counter while I waited and watched for them to make my delicious burger. It was a very sad time for me. I swore off Five Guys for at least 2 months because of this incident. It hurt my bacon covered soul. I have since recovered and the draw of delicious beef, cheese, and bacon covered with endless toppings has caused me to rescind my moratorium and resume delicious indulgence. I no longer use the app for this reason and just wait the 10 minutes it takes to make my order in the restaurant.
The prices seem like they are constantly increasing.
Overall, I can't complain that much. They make a...
Read moreFive Guys is often hailed as one of the must-try burger joints in the U.S., known for its fresh-made burgers, customizable toppings, and famously generous portions of fries. It’s easy to see why so many people flock to it — the aroma, the energy, and the reputation all speak for themselves.
Unfortunately, for someone like me who doesn’t eat beef, Five Guys offers very limited choices. Nearly all of their burgers are beef-based, leaving me on the sidelines. While there are vegetarian options like the veggie sandwich or grilled cheese, multiple reviews online describe these as lackluster — some even say they’re not worth ordering at all.
That said, my friends absolutely enjoyed their meals. They praised the made-to-order freshness, the ability to fully customize their burgers, and of course, the massive portion of fries, often spilling out of the cup into the bag. The free peanuts while you wait add a nice, quirky touch to the experience.
Some reviews do mention that the patties themselves are under-seasoned, requiring extra salt or sauces for flavor, though others appreciate the focus on letting the natural ingredients shine.
In summary, if you enjoy beef, Five Guys is a solid and satisfying choice for classic American burgers. But if you don’t eat beef, like me, the menu becomes quite limited. I hope they consider adding chicken, fish, or plant-based options in the future — that would truly make their great food experience more inclusive and enjoyable...
Read moreI recently traveled for work to Seattle and stopped by this location before one of my work sessions. We left the restaurant to drive to another location near the area for work and didn't realize I left my purse with a recent client payment and our credit and debit cards. I didn't even realize until after work was done and we were getting ready to drive to California. I asked my husband if he had seen my purse and he mentioned he didn't, we looked for it and it wasn't in the car. It was around 12am and thought, there is no way five guys will be open. But I called and thank God I did. A very nice gentlemen answered and mentioned they would be open late, so we drove to the location... My purse was there with not a penny missing. Someone found it and the employees took it to the back office. Of course the food was great, we love five guys! BUT honestly I was overwhelmed with gratitude as we honestly thought we would not see the purse again. The gentlemen (MARK BROWN) was kind enough to hold it for us while we arrived and honestly we do not know who took the purse to the employees or if it was an employee that found it. But THANK YOU for being kind people, for being honest and genuine. This will be our location to always stop by when in Tukwila. God bless your business and each of your employees and managers. MY LITTLE FAMILY AND I thank you all for your kindness...
