I'm not sure why we constantly run into issues with this location. The first time, I was told that they had run out of the cookie I was interested in and that I should come back in 2 hours. I came back later, and then they told me they didn't have an ingredient they needed for the icing so it would be out of stock all day. Ok, not sure why they didn't just say that the first time.
This time, I was met with a giant line out the door and a sign stating that they weren't honoring pre-order or pre-paid purchases. They were prioritizing door dash orders, meanwhile all preorders and regular customers had to wait in the queue.
Once we were finally in the store, we were asked repeatedly by different people for the name with our order. The workers inside were super inefficient. The Overcooked player in me was screaming internally watching them move back and forth with no efficiency or purpose. I watched them open the same fridge multiple times to scoop one single scoop of icing for the same cookie order and even to return extra icing. It was almost comedic to watch with bated breath as one server iced the cookie at a glacial pace only to have another server drop the cookie that she had spent so long to prepare. (The dropped cookie was, of course, quickly whisked into the box anyways.)
The cookies here are still delicious but maybe not worth the aggravation. Save yourself the headache and try another location until this place...
Read moreTerribly managed, terribly trained, terribly inefficient location. Expect a loooong wait. Huge line out the door. Your pre-orders, pre-paid orders will not be honored. You have to wait in line while they prioritize door dash orders. The outside is literally plastered with signs about limiting # of people in store and not honoring prepaid orders. It does not look welcoming at all. When you finally walk in, you will see why it's so slow. Every single employee was inefficient with every single movement. From receiving orders to preparing orders to acknowledging orders to communicating orders to even frosting cookies, it's all inefficient and slow. They average about ONE COOKIE PER MINUTE! Not one order per minute, but a single cookie per minute. If the store wasn't so slow, they wouldn't need all those ugly signs and they wouldn't need a person dedicated to standing by the door and essentially acting as a bouncer that enforces 5 people in the store at once. The store is so slow that it further slows itself down by sacrificing an employee to a completely unnecessary role when that employee should be contributing to serving cookies faster! Manager needs to be fired. Get a new manager who can establish an efficient standard operating procedure and training that gets rid of unnecessary movement. The cookies are fine by the way. Just drive to a different crumbl location and you'll still get your order quicker than waiting in line...
Read moreThis will be my last order from this location. On Monday my family stopped at the Tracy location to try out the new flavors. My son loved the Cinnamon Toasted Crunch flavor and we decided to order a party box for his class (it’s his bday). I ordered from Union City because it’s a tad bit closer than our regular location San Ramon. Worst decision!! I ordered a party box for the class, a single for the office lady & a box of six for home. All but 2 were the Cinnamon flavor. All of the cookies look like small cake/cookies? Completely different than what we had on Monday. We default to Crumbl because their product has alway been consistent. Which is why I called the store to complain. I told her I had this cookie on Monday and today they are smaller in diameter and thick like a cake. The young lady told me they measure out the dough and have something to ensure the consistency in height of the cookie. And the cookie I purchase is what her manger has approved. My only option was to bring the cookies back to get a refund or have them remade… What?! Great option if I didn’t live over 20mins away. If you are looking for the consistency in product AVOID the Union City location. Quality control isn’t there, but the...
