I tired to send them an email tru their site but it was a failed.
Hi, I was already typing up a review coz of my disappointment but had to give benefit of the doubt & reach out... After a tiring day at Monterey beach 6/23/18 we ended up here about 730pm coz a friend suggest this place & tuna is really good. It was a lot of people lined up outside. I guess huge group that was finishing up I mean 50people of so. It was 35mnts wait family of 5(2adults 3kids)
once seated they served 3cups of water. Placed out food/drinks order. Well they got the kids orange juice right away but that's it. Then our food started to come 20mnts wait for lumpia(under cook& under seasoned) which I placed 2order of coz kids loves lumpia! They always argue who get the last piece. Then 10mnts later tuna which hubby loves 10mnts later the bulalo needs more flavors gave my kids some sabaw they like it but kulang talaga sya sa timpla hubby same opinion.
Our drink still not arrived. Server keeps checking other table we try to get her attention but wont look out way. I thought my taste bud was off because I was exhausted not feeling good. Until the pusit came. I was disappointed. I told hubby it's not cook! At 1st he said that's how inihaw is... it was under cook the end of the tentacle (which is the piece he ate)was thoroughly cook but the rest it's like rubber. So after he ate another piece there you go it's under cook! Boys were happy with the BBQ on the stick and were arguing who get the last stick but I told them there more coming but not on the stick...But we didn't ordered pork steak dissatisfied (it was pork BBQ rib) I didn't realize that till we got back and hubby asked who ordered the steak and didn't eat it? Also my chair and my son's chair was being hit multiple times. A few times was okay but it keeps going with the entire time we were there and half of the time it's from the staff. We were starving and tired so we didn't take pics I mean hubby didn't take pics like usually and we just wanted to leave asap. We had 3boxes and 2container for our to go bag. I have a pic of the pusit when I was chopping it up to cook it as Adobo. Please look into...
Read moreReturn visit in June 2024 finds the place more popular than ever. They moved the entrance to the right side of the restaurant. Crispy Pata was excellent, and everything else, pork sisig, kare kare, lumpia, bbq pork skewers, were good as well.
Judging by the all Filipino crowd when we went there, Gerry Grill serves pretty authentic Filipino food. Quality is subjective, but for newbies, it's pretty good.
The space is large, and i think they took over the adjacent space a few years ago. From the outside, you might think it's a sports bar of some sort, but inside, it's a spacious, busy, and clean restaurant with families, couples, and seniors all enjoying a meal.
Some might say the food is overpriced and just ok or not ok, but we thought the prices were moderate and the food was pretty good.
Kare kare - a well-known dish. Beef chunks and oxtail stewed in a peanut sauce. I liked it. Others may not for various reasons
Gerry's fried chicken - fried to order and piping hot, the chicken is tasty perhaps a bit salty but certainly not greasy.comes with fries and a better deal than the $15 six Piece chicken.joy bucket at Jolibee
Bistec beef in a vinegar sauce. It was tasted pretty good I don't know enough to judge
Adobo fried rice - full of good flavors. Good size portion and would pair well with a soup.
Looking at what others are ordering, it seems like the way to go is to order a soup or some noodles and pair it with a deep fried item.. like fried chicken, crispy pata, or fried pork belly
Service is pretty good . Our server was polite and friendly, but we didn't see him as However, other staff came by to check on things and asked if everything was ok.
Parking is readily available, but you might have to park further away when it's busy
Gerrys is popular for a reason and offers a great introduction to Filipino cuisine. For those who have no objection to eating from a "pork forward" menu, give...

Today, the esteemed food truck, Gerry Grill, graced the grounds of Sutter Health in Dublin. Amidst the usual hubbub of healthcare, a gustatory revelation unfolded.
I selected the Chicken Skewers Rice Meal, a choice that promised both nourishment and a fleeting moment of culinary transcendence. The dish, with its perfectly grilled skewers, whispered promises of flavors both bold and delicate. The chicken, tender and smoky, seemed to recount tales of distant lands and meticulous marination.
Accompanying this avian delight was a mound of rice, a veritable foundation of starch that supported the ensemble with stoic resilience. Each grain was a tribute to the humble and the essential, steadfast in its role yet unassuming in presence.
A solitary egg, perched atop the rice, offered a contrast in texture and a nod to simplicity. It was as if the egg understood the gravity of its mission: to balance the flavors with its creamy yolk and smooth whites, a silent mediator in this gastronomic assembly.
Pickled vegetables, vibrant and tangy, provided a counterpoint to the meal's warm, savory tones. Their sharpness cut through the richness with the precision of a well-trained surgeon, leaving the palate refreshed and invigorated.
As I dined, standing stoically in the parking lot, surrounded by the faint hum of healthcare professionals and the scent of antiseptic, I realized that Gerry Grill had not merely provided a meal, but an experience. It was a fleeting yet profound reminder that even in the midst of routine, moments of pure, unadulterated joy can emerge, much like the unexpected appearance of a food truck in an office complex.
In summary, the Chicken Skewers Rice Meal from Gerry Grill was not just food, but a meditative journey—a reminder that even in our most mundane moments, we can find a slice of...
