At this restaurant you order at the counter and pay then the food is delivered to your table. The counter service was worse than I've ever seen in my life. The blonde woman could not answer any of our questions about the food. There were eight of us in our group and we all ordered one by one. She was not friendly at all. She didn't ask us if we wanted any drinks. The bill totaled about $115. I used a credit card and entered a tip. We were not far away from the counter, so could hear everything she said to other customers. She bad mouthed our group quite a number of customers, citing the very low tip that we gave her. I've never seen such a rude waitress. When she brought the food to our table she didn't clearly identify what each dish was. She just set it down on the table. We had to try to figure it out and in a few cases we're not able to. One of us went to ask her about it and got nowhere. We had to cut open a couple of burritos to see what they were. The service she rendered was totally unacceptable. It ruined the meal for many of us especially hearing her talking about us to everybody. In a place like this how much do you tip for good service? It's not a sit-down restaurant where staff waits on you. It's a counter where you order your food. If you took your meal to go, would you leave a tip? I feel sorry for this woman since I believe she's a very...
Read moreWalk up, order food, sit down, food is brought to the table. There's a large selection of homemade salsas started at mild and going to death. Even though it's in the parking garage, which impacts ambiance, the food was great and the service was semi-fast. Two guys were doing it all.
My burrito was served in a plastic basket with a waxed paper liner. I didn't eat it right. I used a fork and knife and so I had a mess on my hands in seconds flat. I should have just picked it up like a big boy and shoved it in my pie hole. It's not their fault, it's clearly mine. Next time I go back, I'll remember.
I had guacamole with chips and salsa, a burrito and my wife had a combo plate and two beers all for under $25 bucks.
The way these guys use their peppers is magical. They have a strong sense for how to use peppers in Mexican dishes, not to kill you with heat, but to tantalize your taste buds with capsaicin. They have the death salsa, if you want it, too.
It was fun at a reasonable price, so I would go back for the amazing flavors next time...
Read moreMy wife an I came in to inquire about happy hour at about 11:45 on a Wednesday.
The man working at the counter apreared to not be all there. My wife asked him when happy hour was and this seemed to confuse the man, saying he wasn't sure, taking a moment where it seemed like he was going to ask some one else, then turning back, saying, "It's morning, there is no happy hour, what do you want? " adding comments like, "I'm new here. "
Our inquiry seemed to inconvenience and irritate the bar keep. I don't know what this man is going through, and usually willing to let that go, but it seems odd that there was no information available, dispite the Google maps entry clearly saying there is a happy hour. I find this whole situation to be the compete opposite of the other, gleaming, reviews. There could at least be a posting notice at the bar with information like this.
I doubt I'll consider...
