Kokee Tea — Restaurant in Virginia Beach

Not bad! Not bad! Their drinks are actually not bad! But the mochi is not good enough in my opinion.

This seems like the only or closest bubble tea available near the Virginia Beach. No tables or seats inside, doesn’t seems like there is much ac so don’t expect to chill inside the shop. This is a grab a drink and go.

I ordered the coffee milk tea + lychee jelly on my first visit. That wasn’t a good combination because the lychee jelly actually throw the coffee milk tea off. My husband had the pina colada slush and that was alright. My matcha green tea mochi ice cream was not green tea enough, but alright. Now the passion fruit mochi ice cream is just not for me. I took one bite and just shove that to my husband to finish the rest. Hahaa.

The second time I visited I ordered house milk tea with honey boba. This time it was much better. I finished my drink quick too so definitely no complains on that one. My husband ordered a coffee milk tea with coffee jelly to prove to me that the drink with lychee jelly is not a good combination. Pretty bad customer service or just confusion on my part. I am used to just ordering boba like "mango boba please." And I expect a mango-flavored drink with black chewy tapioca pearls at the bottom. However, the concept here was that the tapioca pearls had their flavor and then the drink had its different flavor. I ended up somehow ordering a Passionfruit Mango Boba which meant a passionfruit-flavored drink with mango-flavored pearls which I did not like because passionfruit isn't my favorite... and then the pearls themselves instead of being chewy just pop in your mouth which makes for a weird experience that might be better or worse depending on the person.
