Local North End rez since '02. Just left after my second visit. Bianca Rosa 'za is decent, crust is a bit crunchy, and a bit chewy. Not everyone else's dough, this is goodness. And they have Stone Enjoy By DIPA on tap. This is why I returned. We didn't come in to watch football, but not finding the joint heavily populated on arrival, we both settled on one side of a huge pew to soak up the Vikings v Lions on the biggest screen in the place, whilst we waited on the 'za. First time here we sat under the big TV at a smallish 2-top, and it didn't allow enough elbow room for us once the large 'za arrived, but the bigger pew certainly sufficed!
I'm a Packers fan, so this game was only mildly interesting to me, really. We had no intent on watching any game, really. Approaching the end of our time there this visit, a 4-top came in and sat under the TV we were watching. I think they had their eyes on our seats! Maybe our pizza? And they wanted to see another game apparently, since the owner (I assume) just changed the channel on us without even asking if anyone was watching.
THIS IS BAD MANNERS, amigo! Thanks for making my existence feel completely irrelevant. ;o) I take this as a sign your establishment mustn't be doing so well, and you're bending over backwards for return customers you recognize. Unfortunately, this is how you alienate newer customers. I bet you never recognize me, in your place, in the future. Seriously, I didn't really care, and we weren't staying for the whole game. It was a minor slight. BUT A SLIGHT, still.
So, I'm going to pile on, now. NO, there isn't a penalty on the play. Our waitress, 5 minutes before the 4-top arrived, came to us asking if we wanted our leftover pizza boxed up. This was bad timing, as I was only on the 2nd slice of the 3 or 4 I would inevitably devour. "What's the hurry?" At the time, the place is basically 30% full in the "dining" area. Again, a bit later, the waitress returned to check on us, this time she prematurely removed an unfinished libation. Hey, there were 2 good gulps left, and it was Tito's! Oh, the humanity! Let's hope she was just very new to the concept of pleasing customers.
We had started our pizza mission heading off to Shorebreak, but they were way too crowded, so, in a pizza rage, I then recalled the Bianca Rosa -- let's go get that. Next time I'll put up with the lack of parking and huge crowd at Shorebreak.
FYI: Really good pizza is found at Windy City Pizza (skip anything with sausage IMO, it's just OK sausage), and La Vera in...
Read moreI rated everything as a one star because before I can even get to the restaurant, it had already turned me off. How? I’m glad you asked. My aunt made a call to order but asked first if they were doing deliveries. Whoever picked up the phone(I’m sure its one of them pretty looking girls who just stands there all day to look pretty, if not, she needs some support). She replied that the delivery is out of service due to the delivery driver having a flat tire. Then that was it and the call ended on a ok thanks, because my aunt could tell she was having a bad attitude and didn’t want to lace an order or continue on. I called 10 mins later to place an order and as I was making an order, I proceeded to ask for a price and she(the same girl as it was same voice) answered it was $15.99 for a small and $20 or so for the large. I questioned why did the website menu have it as 12.99 for a 12”/small instead and she was also saying something about special pizzas. I asked again and she responded rudely with a “If you’re looking at the menu online they are not updated”. I just said ok nvm then. As she was about to slam the phone to hang up, I could hear her saying “Oh my God!”.
If I wanted to, I would’ve tore her apart about why didnt they freakin updated the price online or take down the 4-6 year old menu photos? Plus how she was speaking on the phone is not good for the business itself as if she hated her life, her job and everyone. Apparently I knew better not to use the old photos, that is why I went straight to the website menu instead. Unfortunately I couldn’t even place an order online and had to call. So yeah, thanks to that lady, this pizza place is receiving 1 stars plus the outdated prices of the menu even on the...
Read moreWe have been customers of Pizza Chapel for 7 years and recently noticed a significant decrease in quality, taste, and customer service. Our first pizza (pepperoni and cheese) came out burnt and our waiter did not put in our second pizza (McLovin special pizza). He offered individual slices of pepperoni pizza (non-burnt) while we waited for our second pizza. Those slices arrived before the McLovin and looked and tasted wildly different from the burnt pepperoni pizza. We waited another 20 minutes for the McLovin (spicy OG sauce, prosciutto, bacon, and pineapple). The pizza they served us had no sauce, no bacon, and no pineapple! The staff were rude and apathetic to their shortcomings. Pizza Chapel is highly inconsistent since ownership changed. We will unfortunately be taking our business to...
