This was the worst service a place could have. I wouldnât even give it 1 star if I could. We came in town and we picked this place that was close to our hotel. My husband and were literally the only ones in there besides 2 people at the bar. The waitress had an attitude from the time she walked up. Never even gave her name and wasn't kind. Drinks stayed empty and after 40 min once we finally got her to come over because she was sitting on her cell phone and eating her own food that she said is like community food in the kitchen. That is unacceptable! We canât get our food as the ONLY customers in there but she is eating and some man is sitting with her at a table taking it up. While we canât even get the common courtesy of a refill. Once we addressed the issue of the wait time on our food we know that what happened after that was on purpose. They brought out 1 thing at a time and it was SO overcooked. Which we still had to wait much longer after we asked about it. My husband couldnât eat his fries they were so over cooked. His complaint is comparable to the other gentlemanâs complaint about the same thing that was ordered. The fish and chips. I stopped eating my food because once we asked about our food we never got another drink after that. We werenât going to get another thing from her. Sheâs definitely in the wrong job. One of your responses just the other day as someone complained about the same thing was things were addressed and that you were putting things in place so that it would be an isolated incident. This isnât isolated. I saw no manager and I canât imagine this person being any better at her job with any other customer. I guess unless itâs someone she knows like the guy who came in to see her. I should have asked the front desk BEFORE we left because when we got back they told us how horrible your restaurant was and they donât recommend it to any guest.If you truly want it fixed you have to get better service. If not you will keep getting these reviews. I would want my business be great.You have tons of tourists come through here and I canât get over just how bad it was. Itâs truly unacceptable and waitresses like her truly are clueless on how you should treat customers. We are great tippers and tip well but you canât reward horrible service. We couldnât get a receipt we couldnât get nothing. Not thanks have a good night nothing. She had a chip on her shoulder from the time we walked in the door. I visited this Greene Turtle location for the first time with my fiancée and our 1-year-old son shortly after 9 PM. We recently moved to the area, and wanted to grab a bite to eat. Unfortunately, what we expected to be a relaxing evening turned into a frustrating and disappointing experience from start to finish.
We were the only guests in the dining area, which made the incredibly slow service all the more puzzling. After placing our order, we discovered the chef hadnât even arrived in the kitchen until well after our appetizer and our sonâs kids meal were already ordered. It took over 20 minutes just to get the appetizer. Meanwhile, the kids meal never showed up at all, only for us to be told later that the mac and cheese was frozen and it would take even longer. This led to a last-minute scramble to order something else for our hungry and upset toddler, who was crying by then.
To make matters worse, the appetizer (which was supposed to follow his meal) arrived firstâwhich was something he couldnât even eat. We ended up switching his order to a grilled cheese (thinking this would be quicker), which finally came, but even then, it was missing the fries that were supposed to come with it.
My fiancĂ©eâs meal eventually arrived, but my food never did. I waited patiently, only to leave the restaurant without eating anything at all. To top it off, my fiancĂ©e later complained that her food made her stomach hurt. Additionally, the appetizer which was âRockfish Nuggetsâ had a fishy taste to it and appeared to potentially be old and simply reheated.
When I asked for the check, the server appeared disappointed that I didnât want to wait even longer for my meal. Then, I noticed a platter I never ordered (and that wasnât even on the menu) was added to my bill. I had to have the bill correctedâwhich felt suspicious rather than accidental.
I followed up the next day with a call to the manager, who was apologetic, but at this point the damage was done.
Bottom line: This visit was unacceptable. Between the lack of kitchen preparedness, long wait times, missing items, food quality concerns, billing issues, and the total lack of accommodation for a family with a small child, this was easily one of the worst dining experiences weâve had.

   Read moreWent at 2pm. Had an hour for my lunch break and decided to give it a shot. My boyfriend and I sat at the bar and waited over 10 minutes for someone to come out from the kitchen. We asked another patron if they had seen a waiter, and he said it had been a minute. After 10 minutes, the bar tender greeted us and walked away. Another 10 minutes came by and he asked what we wanted to drink. I got a lemonade and my boyfriend got a water. Bartender disappeared for another 10 minutes (looked like he was breaking down boxes in the back) he came back over and told me they didnt have mint for the lemonaid but would get it soon and wanted to take our order. At this point were short on time so I order the nachos without bleu cheese, boyfriend orders shrimp. After ordering, it took another 5 minutes for our drinks to come out and after waiting another 20 minutes for our food, we were out of time. Bartender was still nowhere to be found so my boyfriend went into the kitchen and asked if they could put it in a to go box. Another 5 minutes of waiting, and the bartender comes out apologizing saying that they accidentally put bleu cheese on my nachos. He asked if I wanted a replacement but I didnt have time to wait another 30 minutes for a plate of nachos so he comped my meal. Still paid 26 dollars for the boyfriends meal and drink. Food was fine, but it was obvious it had been sitting in the back under a heat lamp for a while.
