My mom has been raving about wanting her first pair of hokas for so long, so as a birthday present I decided to make the drive so she could pick out the ones she wanted. We get there and the assistance is dry but we carry on. When it is time to check out they say that their contactless payment is unavailable, which I completely understand that not all stores are up to date with that. So I drive to an atm that does do contactless payment to withdraw cash. We return 30 minutes before closing and the employee with several facial piercings says that they aren’t accepting cash anymore because their system is down but they are accepting card. From my understanding when a system is down electronic transactions are unavailable not cash transactions. Now unless they tilled their register out early and didn’t want to make the effort to till it back then is a different story. We drove out to this far away location and then on top of that drive to an atm and back just to purchase these shoes. The least they could have done was let us know that they weren’t accepting cash as well. Instead he is rude, and tells us to just come back another day when we don’t live in Los Angeles so it isn’t as accessible to us. As a retail employee I do my best to understand the other person’s perspective so I hardly ever leave negative reviews. But this person was not only rude to me but to my mother as well. I hope the management at this location can review and do right by their customers...
Read moreI’m a first time buyer of the brand and originally spoke with Dora who presented the company and product superbly over the phone. I went to the store and connected with Monica (both are on the management team) and explained my phone conversation to her. She immediately went to work searching the back stock. I’m a tough fit with double wide size and flat footed. I went with the Bondi 7 due to the wide toe box and fit purchasing the 10 Double EE width which felt good with my Spenco orthotics for extra support. That is one of the great features of this shoe. Since I walk and use public transportation Dora was super cool in allowing me to leave without having to take the box as needed for returns since it would not fit in my backpack. Her attention to detail was great and handled the transaction in a superfluous manner.
After usage for the first week my pinky toes felt crowded and I knew I needed a half size up which was not in stock for a few weeks. When it was available I called the store and Dora walked me through the ordering process online. Incredible two day turnaround! I then proceeded to the store on my next day off after calling first and speaking with Yasme. She was polite and professional reversing the transaction upon showing her my new 101/2 Bondi 7 and providing the shoes in good condition. All around team was super! Keep up the excellent product...
Read moreMy sister and I went in to find new running shoes. We were each about to leave there spending $160 on shoes. When we walked in we were the only ones in there and the women behind the counter didn’t even acknowledge us. She was a heavier set women with dark brown long hair. She was clicking on her computer as we stood there confused and waiting for some help. We finally went up to her to ask for help. We explained what we were looking for and asked which shoe was the best for what we wanted. She pointed at the most expansive shoe and said “that one on the top.” She didn’t even walk us over to them, we were left guessing. When we wanted to try on we brought over a few medium priced shoes. When she came back from the back she said she didn’t have ANY of the shoes we wanted but she of course had to most expensive pair in stock. We explained we didn’t want that one and she continued to push it. She didn’t offer to order online for us. And when we finished trying on we got up and walked over to her at the counter to try to return the shoes to her. ONCE AGAIN, she didn’t even look up from the computer so we finally placed the shoes down and just walked away. We will not be purchasing Hoka’s and we will be taking our...
