I come to this Sloans usually about twice a week after dinner I usually have a pleasant experience. Tonight was my last time. I will take the trip to the Clematis location from now on. My daughter got candy and a plushie so we waited in the second line by the front for about 15 minutes. I went to put my things back as we had not been acknowledged or helped the entire time waiting. The store Manager Rae was then extremely rude and condescending. She spoke down to me as if I was not supposed to be waiting in the line that I usually would purchase candy at, that I have dozens of times in the past. She spoke down to me loudly in front of other customers and my child. It was absolutely mortifying and embarrassing to say the least. Your store manager really made a skeptical of the situation. My daughter really wanted a plushie so OK i switched lines, otherwise i would have left after being treated in such a manner. While waiting I hear her still talking badly about me to other team members where my child and others customer and myself could hear. Almost purposely. I am also a manager in the restaurant industry so this experience was bizarre for someone in "customer service" to be treating customers as such. I was shocked she was actually the manager at your store. On the way out another gentelman was waiting in the line. I let him know he would not be helped at that counter. I do want to add that the supervisor went on to help me and she was very sweet...
Read moreI recently visited Sloan’s in West Palm Beach and, unfortunately, my experience was less than satisfactory. Despite the charming and whimsical decor, the inattention of the staff was a significant issue. Upon entering, I was not greeted, and it took several minutes before anyone acknowledged my presence. The staff seemed more interested in chatting among themselves than assisting customers. When I finally placed my order, the service was slow and lacked the friendliness one would expect in such a vibrant setting.
The quality of the ice cream was another disappointment. While the presentation was appealing, the actual taste did not live up to the hype. The flavors were bland and lacked the richness and creaminess that good ice cream should have. I tried a couple of different flavors, hoping for a better experience, but each one fell short.
Despite the fun atmosphere and the wide variety of sweets available, the overall experience was marred by poor service and subpar ice cream. For the prices charged, I expected a much higher quality product and better customer service. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend Sloan’s based on this visit. There are other ice cream shops in the area that offer better quality and more...
Read moreOne of the best ice cream and more emporiums I've ever visited in the US. Located inside the newly renovated Rosemary Square in City Place in the West Palm Beach, Sloans is a modern throwback of a time gone by. You walk into Sloans and immediately memories of my childhood reappeared.
All of the sweets, candies, toys, and more fill an atmosphere of princess pinkness. We have nothing like this in the Nations Capitol. The ice cream, cones cookies and brownies are made on the premises. The server who took car of us was a lovely young lady named Ash who offered us samples of their delicious ice cream. I sampled something called "Checker Boys Rum Raisin". Its made with a very tasty Myer's dark rum lots of plump and juicy raisins (top 3 Rum Raisinin my lifetime...and lots of it! I also added an amazing scoop of Dulce De Leche. The flavors were exceptional. Special shout out and thanks to Ash for her friendly personality and superb customer service!
If you are ever in West Palm Beach across from the Kravis Center and the Convention Center, you need to definitely stop in Sloans. Say hi to Ash and the rest...
