Smokejumper Cafe Mobile Experience — Restaurant in West Yellowstone

So, I can't give this place a good review. I didn't get the opportunity to eat here. Mind you this is the reason of the three stars. The hours say 11am until 4pm. We stood around for a few moments (not longer than ten). The man come out, and said "what do you want?" We said we would like to eat. Now mind you its after 11am. He tells us he'll start serving in ten minutes and walks away. So we did leave. We were totally looking forward to the gluten free options! I used to work in the fire service and we did do wildland fire and rescue. Absolutely enjoyed the decor in here. I get running a business with little to no help sucks, but you can't expect anyone to stay in a challenging atmosphere.

Edit.... Sir, it is no way my intent to cause your business any wrong doing, and did infact include highpoints. With my personal experience from working with the public we sometimes do not see areas in which we can improve hence the three star review, and yes you are correct I do review most places I venture into. It has helped with some personal issues I personally face, but this isn't the place I will go into further detail. I would have absolutely loved to come back and try your establishment, however we have prior engagements in another state. James and his lovely wife do an excellent job of making this little restaurant a wonderful dining experience. The food is incredible and reasonably priced. James is a world class chef that could probably work in anyworld famous restaurant, but he followed his dream and opened this hidden gem. The must haves are the lobster bisque and his caprese salad. The burgers and the fish are incredible as well. Whenever I make it to West Yellowstone, I make it a point to get a wonderful meal at this gem and enjoy a quick conversation with James if he has a free moment. These two make you feel like family when you go into their establishment and that's one of the many things that makes this Cafe so special. There is usually a little bit of a wait for your food, but its worth it and only because James is not going to serve you anything that is less than perfect. I am thankful that James and his wife and their restaurant were brought into my life as it is just another one of those little things that makes this very stressed out world a better place. I have been going to the Smokejumper cafe for years and look forward to every trip that takes me there, even working vacation plans so that family can pick me up at the airport, just so I can have lunch there. I've tried almost everything on the menu more than once, and have never been disappointed. Other reviews of his Lobster bisque and Lobster rolls are spot on. So amazing, especially since he's so far from lobster territory. How he does it and keeps it fresh is his secret. The smokejumper bomb breakfast burrito is huge, filling and delicious. Just don't talk about the bomb once beyond his doors, since that's where TSA is, and they don't like hearing that word. Be warned: James is usually very busy as mostly a one man shop, and it can get hectic as all get out prior to the seasonal air service outbound flight.
