Pine Shadows Motel — Hotel in West Yellowstone

Could have been better ! Pros - Kitchen/Dining was spacious and well equipped Bathrooms clean and neat Bedrooms were great

Cons - Couch in living room was nearing its end of life WiFi was spotty read my concern below

My main concern was this - We were a party of two families each with 2 kids. One of the kids of my friend is an infant/toddler - less than 2 years old. In my oversight, when reserving this place, I did not realize that condo 118 is slated for 7 people only and that every living human is counted as person. When I called to ask for checkin procedure a couple of days before our arrival, the property manager was pretty adamant that they cannot allow the us all to stay there as we are a party of 8 and not 7. I thought it was pretty resentful on his part given that one of the guests is a baby for which our friend carried a baby bassinet for the baby to sleep. We had to hunt around for a room in the last minute and I ended up sleeping there every night and come back the following morning to join my family, not to mention forking off another 250$ a night for that lonely stay. We stayed here for 2 nights and were in the motel section. The building feels kind of new but with that being said, feels a bit like a "tin can"...kind of hollow. The room was quite large and clean. It unfortunately has a "cheap" kind of feel. There was a fridge/microwave. No meals of any kind are included.The beds were comfortable. It is priced similarly to other hotels/motels in the area, so I don't believe it's much of a bargain. There is lots of easy parking and the office attendant Chad was quite nice and helpful. It is only about 5 min away from the park entrance. Our biggest beef was that you could hear people in the hall like they were in bed with you! Do bring a good set of silicone earplugs. Once people got settled in for the night, there was no noise. Overall I would stay here again...especially as it is hard to find good, reasonable accommodations in heavy tourist areas like this...book early. We booked about 6-7 months out and could not get our first choice hotel in West...

Made reservations to stay one night at this hotel. They had trouble making the reservation, and then two weeks later, five months before my stay I canceled the reservation. They never sent an email confirmation of cancellation and come the day of the reservation months later they billed me for this room. I contested it with my credit card company but because they had never emailed me a confirmation or giving me a confirmation number at cancellation they denied that it was ever canceled. Mistake by their staff but they would not take responsibility. I got stuck with the nights fee even though I had canceled the reservation months before.
