I planned this trip about 6 months in advance for my family and grandchildren. Paid the required deposit as required. I was told at work I was not allowed to travel do the COVID-19 crisis. I tried to cancel and they refused any refund. A week later my travel ban was lifted. I requested to reinstate my reservation and they advised no problem. A week before leaving Texas I received another confirmation e-mail for my RV space. I thought this was strange so I called to verify there were no problems with my reservation. I was advised they had changed my RV space but it was to a larger space. It should be noted we were meeting another family from WY for vacation and we had both made reservations at the same location so we could be together. We arrived for our stay parked in our spaces we were confirmed for and went to the office to check in. The other family was fine. I was told I did not have a reservation. I showed management my confirmation e-mail. I was told that someone else had the space rented starting the next day and I could stay one night, but then would have to leave. Obviously, this time of year in West Yellowstone there are NO RV spaces available. They told me I could move my RV over to a driveway and park it there. I told them they needed to call the incoming guest and advised them there was an issue before they arrived and that since I was already there, the next guest could take the driveway. They refused to listen to any reasoning and kicked us out the next day. Oh, but hey, they refunded my money. Thanks to a local police officer who was able to pull some strings, we were able to get both families into a campground inside Yellowstone. Fortunately, we travel prepared to dry camp, so while it took some adjustments, we were fine. So, just keep in mind while making a reservation at West Yellowstone Cabins and RV Park, even if you have a confirmation e-mail and have called and verified before travelling, you may still get kicked out in the cold and have no place to go. PLEASE BE CAREFUL and have a backup plan. I can assure you I will NEVER book with them again.
Another note, pay attention to the location of this RV Park. It is located in the middle of town and you literally back off the city street into your RV space. IT IS NOT A...
Read moreI would highly discourage you from booking with this business when you’re booking a trip for Yellowstone. Right off the bat when you book they make 50% of the cost non-refundable. We had to cancel our booking a week out and they refused to give any refund. In fact, they pulled half of the cost ($203) from my credit card on the exact same day that I cancelled my reservation. They still refuse to issue even that half of the refund! So now I’m dealing with my bank hoping I can get at least that portion back. This company and I had a conversation over email that didn’t resolve anything (they won’t take cancellations over the phone - probably because so many other people are just as upset as I am).||||This company is disrespectful, manipulative in emails to make you sound like you’re terrible for questioning their ethics (mind you they pocketed $400+ off of us for NO service), and does not care about any of life’s circumstances needing to cancel (be it financial with inflation costs or catastrophic flooding because it “didn’t effect their rv park, only a small part of yellowstone.”) They told me they accommodated guests who “reached out sooner” but if you look at reviews, that’s hard to believe.||||If you look at the recent negative reviews on Google, this company makes sure to degrade the author of each negative review in order to regain credibility of their business. If they respond to this (Google reviews), I’m sure they will come off like a saint standing by their policy and make me look like a terrible person for “agreeing to their booking terms” and being upset at the lack of morals. (They even told me I was insulting them by calling them greedy and immoral, and “threatening” them by telling them I was going to post reviews or my experience.) Take their comments/responses on any negative review’s post how you wish but I would STRONGLY recommend...
