BOBA Cafe House — Restaurant in West Yellowstone

I found this place as I was driving to my hotel just outside Yellowstone. It looked really cute from the outside and had good reviews. The man at the counter was very kind & happy to help with any boba questions. I had the brown sugar boba milk tea & my friend the strawberry. They were $12.99 each which is the most I’ve EVER paid for boba, must be the Yellowstone tax. We weren’t asked about ice or sweetness etc. He also suggested popping boba for a milk based tea which I thought was pretty gross, but I know some people like that… My friend’s strawberry had a chemically taste, almost like nesquik. I was excited to try this place because there's not a lot of options for boba when you're camping. I ordered a medium taro milk tea with tapioca pearls, and...it was not good. ☹️ It mainly tasted like milk with the possibility that the taro might have breathed in its direction. The texture of the tapioca pearls made it seem like they had been frozen and not reheated right. The worst part was that it cost me over $9 dollars for one drink. However, I added a star because they upgraded me to a large and gave me a free keychain...maybe they knew it wasn't their best work lol. I was so excited to find there was boba tea so close to home, but when I got there, the door was open, but no one there. I called out, but no answer. I called the phone # that was taped up on the sign, but could not get through. I called the business # but same issue. Eventually after almost 15-20 minutes, someone showed up. Tables were dirty and the whole place disheveled and unorganized. I've ordered Jasmine green milk tea at every boba tea shop I've been to over the last 10 years, and this is the first shop that did not have it. I got the Matcha tea with boba instead.
