I want to give a thorough, honest, and recent review of this motel. I found the reviews online a little unhelpful and unclear. Basically, this motel is set up like an apartment. We booked room #19. There were 2 rooms within the space we booked- one with a king sized bed, and 1 with 2 doubles, and in the common space there was a fold out sofa. The room slept up to 8. Additionally, there was a kitchen with 2 burners, a full fridge, coffee maker, and a toaster. This is more than the average hotel guest needs. The hotel has obviously recently been redone. The inside has been painted white, and the furniture, linens, dishes, carpet and all is new. It’s also very close to the West Entrance of Yellowstone- you can get inside within 16 minutes. Keep in mind attractions are more like 45 mins away. You’ll also be walking distance to downtown West Yellowstone. Now, do read their amenities and understand that there is no front desk, so if you need an extra towel or something like that it won’t be to you within minutes. For example, we needed an extra K cup, and we received it the next day. No problem, we had 5 for 3 people. Also, as listed there is NO AC. We got 3 fans for 3 people, so we were all okay. Also, all guests when we were there were respectful and quiet. I would stay here again if back near Yellowstone. I hope this is...
Read moreTechnically a motel like vibe when you arrive, as the room doors lead to parking lot. The owners put a lot of thought and effort into this place. First off, we found and boked this place one Air BNB. Of all the hotels and motels we have stayed in during our trip, this was the one that made us feel more at home.
It is a two bedroom apartment in one. We walked in to a living room with a VERY comfy couch.
The kitchen was more than we expected with a stove, and a keurig. Stocked with glass cups and mugs. They even left us care packages in kitchen and bathrooms.
Two very comfy beds with better comfortors and mattresses then your standard hotel. Very clean!
The parking lot is right outside your door. We were able to back car right up to door to unload and park. Very sound proof walls. We did not here any outside noise, and I used the second room to work via zoom. My family didnt even hear me through the walls.
They have a section of the parking lot for picnic tables and and bbq if you like. Very beautifully put together.
We only rented the room for the night. Cheaper than most places around the area but worth it. I would have loved to stay here more than a night if we could have.
Must stay above all...
Read moreVery lovely owner but the simple fact is it's time to put in air conditioners. It got to 90 degrees today and it's even worse if you're on the second floor; the sun hits it at 5:30 and doesn't stop cooking it until 10 o'clock at night. The owner also lives there and her "back porch" is immediately adjacent to one side of the hotel. Unfortunately she has friends over every night and they don't disperse until around 9:30-10, their voices really carry so going to sleep is basically impossible until they finally disperse. I get that she lives here but her entertaining shouldn't come at the cost of your guests sleep. This really sucks if you have to get up early to take a tour, not to mention the fact that the room stays warm all night long (LEAVING THE WINDOWS OPEN IS NO LONGER SUFFICIENT). Don't ignore the reviews complaining about the lack of a/c like I did. I get at most 4 hours of sleep a night..... maybe. Ultimately if you can't sleep in your hotel room nothing else really matters. I'll be returning to yellowstone but won't be staying here. I advise you to do the same if you actually...
