There is not enough good that I can say about Hideaway. Not only is the location great, within a 1-2 minute walk to a really good local bar and grill (full menu including breakfast, lunch, and dinner menus, plus pub food) with a very friendly staff, there is no "night traffic" because they are just off the beaten path, but easy walking distance to EVERYTHING in town.
I can't begin to thank John and Suzi enough for all they did for us. Our motor blew in the pickup we pull our 5th wheel with. We tried working with a local garage but our warranty company was too much of a pain, so we had the truck towed to Bozeman to continue the fight.
With all of the uncertainty of where we were going to go, how we were going to get there, etc., thanks to Suzi's efforts we never had to worry about moving in the middle of our ordeal.
We ended up buying a new truck, and our 2 week stay turned into 5 weeks! That 3 weeks cost us a lot of stress, strain, and aggravation, but the best part was meeting John and Suzi and knowing that they were able to go above and beyond to help this stranded traveler.
I also owe a big THANK YOU to the owner, Rod, for allowing Suzi the flexibility to help us out when we really needed an ally.
Looking forward to coming back to West Yellowstone, and there's no other place I'd...
Read moreIf you like something from home while on vacation, this park is for you. Rv spaces are framed close together so you can hear your neighbor at night and trip over their sewer line located on your camp space. Relax, yours is on your neighbors to the other side. Very narrow spaces. On the plus side, you can get to really know your neighbor when you pop out extends close to his picnic table.
I have a 24 ft 5th wheel that they wanted me to back in between a fence and tree. No room for pop out. The space traded was 15 ft to the side of an RV bus. Hard to back in at angle around bus. The space used by the bus should have been or WAS originally part of driveway but owner most likely saw cash, not convenience of campers.
Friendly managers but owner will no allow ANY kind of discount. Facilities very limited; bathroom and weak wifi for the short distance it has to travel only, nothing else. Stay somewhere where space is allowed and laundry available. Other places have showers and don't leave you reminiscing the aesthetics of a pot-holed gravel...
Read moreThe manager, Jon, is super friendly and helpful. I can see how reviews would differ here, though. It depends on your expectation. This is a pretty compact RV park without a lot of frills, but for most people, that's the point. The goal is to be close to Yellowstone and be able to get in and out of the park easily and that's definitely it's strong suite. Most of the pictures, except my panorama are before...
