Stopped by here tonight at 7:40pm. Walked up to the window at 7:42pm… as the open sign was being shut off. (Hours sign says open until 8pm). Ask a man behind the window if we could still order something? He said “ well we are closing and we only have a few items you can order???? The nice lady working with him, came to the window and said we close at 8 pm and you can order anything on the board. We ordered and paid for 1 fish and chips. While we and another couple ( ordered just before us) were waiting for our orders the man in the truck had stormed out of the truck saying rude and belligerent things toward the lady working with him or towards us, couldn’t tell for sure. The man than came back in the truck and was further arguing loudly toward the lady in the truck making us and others feel very uncomfortable. We received our food , ordered a $4.lemonade and got that …all while the man was still arguing and belittling the lady. Very disappointed in his actions toward the nice lady and the unawareness of his loud demeanor in front of us. I will say the the food was excellent, but will not be back due to the unfortunate behavior of the male owner of...
Read moreThis little food truck had one of the best bison burgers I have ever had! We wanted to avoid West Yellowstone on the weekend wait times, so we stopped here for a quick dinner. They were very friendly and chatted with us about our day in the park, and gave some recommendations on sites to see. There are a handful of covered, outdoor tables near the truck for those wanting to stick around to eat, as we did. I have Celiac, so I was grateful that the menu was clearly marked with gluten-free options, and they use gluten-free condiments, which is not always the case. Our food took a bit longer than might be expected for a food truck, but it was well worth the wait. We both got bison burgers, which were generously sized and very fresh. They came with a large portion of fries, and I ordered a huckleberry lemonade, which was also good. The table next to us got fish and chips, and that looked delicious as well! I will absolutely go again next time I am...
Read moreWe're so glad we made it here before he closed. Might be the best experience I've had at a food truck around the Greater Yellowstone Teton area, not that there's much to compare to once you've been here. The owner (James, IIRC) was incredibly gracious with his time, knowledge of cooking in a food truck, and all of the experience he's had in the 15 years he's been serving up amazing classics: Buffalo Chicken sandwich, Bison burgers, even Lobstah sandwiches and rolls. I hear tell that he's also invented a few different pieces of equipment for food truck cooking and most of his sauces and recipes are his own. Tourists and locals alike, give Smokejumper your patronage, you'll be...
