I was looking for places to have dinner at & was pretty excited about this place. First mistake was not actually looking at the reviews first because they are not good. My family & I sat down near the big doors, the music in there was way too loud & very hard to hear. I ordered a sweet tea & so did my oldest daughter. Wife ordered a Mountain Dew since they had Pepsi products. The waiter said “huh” three times which made us repeat ourselves three times because of the loud music for no reason. When the drinks came back to us our sweet teas were unsweetened & my wife’s Mountain Dew was a mango ipa beer. When we said about the sweet teas he said sorry we don’t have sweet tea would you like some sugar? He should’ve mentioned that first when he came to take our drink order, which would’ve been the right way to do that. So the wife’s beer went back & we ordered a Mountain Dew again, okay he said. When her Mountain Dew came out it was a sprite. At this point I said where is her Mountain Dew? He stated, sorry we don’t have that we have sprite. These things need to be MENTIONED when you take your drink order so then we can order something else. Food on the other hand was NOT worth $78, the food was very moderate we could’ve found food way better than that around our way. Furthermore let’s get to the icing on the cake with the seagulls dive bombing all over the inside of the place! Stealing peoples food right off their plate. This place really sucked & was NOT worth the hype. Knowing what I know now, I would walk right past this place to go...
Read moreReading the reviews, we should have known better, but our plans fell through, and we thought we could have a nice, quick lunch.
As others have mentioned, everything from the service to the quality and quantity of the food were below average. We had a large group, with 6 adults and 5 children. The kids' meals came out quickly and were fine ( mac and cheese, hot dogs, and chicken tenders). However most of the adults' meals were not acceptable, a cesear salad had a dead fly in it, the shrimp tacos are tasteless, and the tortillas cold and directly out of a package, and most egregiously a beef burger was passed off as a black bean burger. One of our friends took 2 big bites and quickly saw that it wasn't a black bean patty. It was sent back, after the server moved the bun with their bare hands to inspect it. The manhandled beef patty came back, and we were told that is what a black bean patty looked like. If a mistake happened, just own it, don't gaslight the customer! Dietary restrictions are really important, and you'd think a restaurant would be mindful, but not this place. At the very least, it should have stayed in the kitchen once the server touched the food.
An absolute waste of time and money. The tip was automatically included even tho most of us were unhappy, we paid and left instead of making a bigger scene.
A restaurant with bad food isn't unusual, especially in a tourist trap like the boardwalk, but don't insult and gaslight your customer.
I hope folxs read this and are...
Read moreI'm leaving this review not because of the food or drinks, which were perfectly fine, but due to an unfortunate experience that occurred on Saturday night. I was with a group of about 20 women, and we were all waiting in line for the restroom. A bartender with short brown hair approached the front of the line and said, rather abruptly, "I'm the bartender, I need to be quick," before entering the restroom.
While a few people in line (not myself) commented on the manner in which she handled the situation, what happened next was unexpected and disappointing. When the bartender exited the restroom, she looked at everyone in line and made a comment along the lines of, "It's gross that you guys were talking about me and none of you can get drinks from my bar," accompanied by profanity.
I was genuinely shocked by the unprofessionalism and tone. As someone who works in customer-facing environments myself, I understand that tensions can run high, but I believe this could have been handled with far more grace. It's unfortunate, as this kind of interaction can really impact the overall experience and perception of a place. I hope this feedback is taken...
