Duffer's is my FAV place EVER! They have the best food and some different food that most places don't have. Their ice cream is homemade and so delicious! They have tons of diff flavors! The only downside is the prices. I mean, they're not too bad, especially for the amount of food/ice cream you get(almost everything is HUGE!) and for the whole atmosphere/experience, but there's a few items that are expensive and you don't get that much, like the fried ravioli. For like $9 you only get 6 tiny little raviolis, however, there's only a couple things like that. Usually you get a lot of everything. Everything I've ever had has been AMAZING!! Their breakfast is THE BEST and they have diff stuff then most places, like Crepes, Stuffed French Toast, Croissants, Waffles with toppings &/or ice cream, etc. Their food is great and their apps are THE BEST!! They have lots of different stuff like fried broccoli, fried ravioli, potato skins shaped like a bowl and filled with cheese & bacon, mac and cheese bites, nachos, etc. Most of the food isn't good for you, but tastes unbelievable! You can find some healthy food on the menu though too, especially for breakfast, but also for lunch/dinner. The pulled pork sandwich is great! The waffles and ice cream are insane and BEYOND HUGE!! Everything's just SO GOOD and the atmosphere is unlike any other place you've been! It's like an old fashioned shop. They have lots of cute things all around like a guy on a tightrope, a little train that goes around the whole restaurant, a piano that plays itself with cute little dogs on it, and other cute stuff. There's also an arcade, mini golf, and a gift shop, so you can play or shop while you wait for your table. It's usually fairly crowded at certain times, but they get people in and out pretty fast. Plus, it's SO worth the wait anyway! You should not be disappointed with this place! It's everything! They also have takeout and a separate section with a little ice cream shop if you just want ice cream to go. There's benches outside that you might be able to sit on too. Overall, this is the greatest place on earth! You MUST go here! It'll be your new fav place too! This place just makes people happy!! Wish it was open all...
Read moreDuffer’s is a Wildwood icon that consistently exceeds expectations. Whether you’re craving a nostalgic scoop of homemade ice cream, fun at the arcade/mini golf, or a meal in the dining room you won’t be disappointed.
The savory portion of the menu focuses on sandwiches and comfort food with decent portion sizes for the price. Our personal favorite is the tender pulled (pork) piggy sandwich and the saucy buffalo (chicken) bites. They also serve a varied breakfast menu with a few variations on the classics at a relatively phenomenal price point.
When you arrive you can expect three things; difficulty parking (opt for the adjacent side streets), a short wait (they’re always timely though), and a choice of food and/or ice cream. The majority of their flavors are homemade and you can taste the difference in the whipped cream. While you can wait in the takeout line for sundaes and ice cream true fans of sweets have to check out the parlor. They’ll sit you down with an extensive menu which challenges you to choose just one. Be cautious though since the portions are massive...but definitely worthwhile. We’ve been stuck on variations of their warm waffles and ice cream and banana splits.
Ultimately, I remember loving Duffer’s as a kid, and now have a newfound appreciation as I share it with my own family. The quality and value is evident in every aspect of their business. Even the mini golf course and arcade have been renovated. And the service and atmosphere take you back in time....
Read moreUpdate: Went here again on 8/8/2022 with my family. We requested to have 2 separate tables as we were a large party and needed room. They do have very tight tables just an FYI. We ordered both dinner and ice cream. First, we started with food, ordering anything from a few appetitizers to wraps and sandwiches. I had the Salmon ABLT, which was salmon with avacodo, bacon, lettuce and tomatos. it was different, but it was so good! i also enjoyed my french fries that one can ask for if they don't want the chips. Next, we all had ice cream. They have plenty of homemade ice cream flavors, and various sundaes that one can make with them. I just ordered 2 scoops of cotton candy with gummy bears, and it was delicous! definetely the best place for ice cream in wildwood! Hopefully will be back another time! Original:Went here on two occasions to my yearly trip to wildwood. Delicous ice cream- homemade and tastes homemade as well! They have tons of flavors, but i had the cotton candy each time i went this trip. One of those trips, we ordered ice cream while sitting down since I was traveling with a large party. Sitting down was actually the best because the ice cream was served in a ice cream glass, and looked amazing! (We also just sat outside, which is good for those who may be weary about traveling right now!) To go was good too, because the line moves quickly, and the ice cream is served in a good sized cup. Would...
