We were greeted and seated pretty quickly. The person who sat us was also our server. She seated us , disappeared to the kitchen came back about 5 minutes later with cups, she explains that drinks are self serve. Okay, well that’s Wierd but I’m not the type to be difficult. Our waitress disappears again for another 15 to 20 minutes. She never offered to start an appetizer or get something from the bar. Still okay not gonna make a big deal. . Our food comes out about and 15 to 20 minutes later. Okay, not a big deal but then you see what you’re served. And you think, everything on this plate was already made, it only needed to be assembled. The restaurant wa not busy AT ALL. My husband had the beef brisket sandwich with fries, I had the loaded baked potato with beef brisket & pulled pork. I’m pretty sure the baked potato was already done so Really the only thing that had to be cooked was the Fries. When I looked led at My husbands sandwich we both thought they forgot to put the meat on it. It was flat, flatter than any serving of brisket I have ever seen. The bits were almost like the scrap ends The fries serving size was like a medium , not a nice pile like you would expect to see. I had to ask for more cheese and sour cream because they added maybe a teaspoon of each. It was really not the best food but we ate it and we are full so that’s a plus. The BIGGEST issue is the service . Our server never spoke to the table behind us or us. Not even when she accepted the tip. They left her 18% , only knew that because I saw the screen as she processed her payment. I also left an 18% tip, despite the fact that she didn’t earn it or even attempt to get a good tip. She was so flat, didn’t speak to anyone, nothing just who cares if your here. You can come you can go attitude. It’s a shame, it’s a prime spot, cool atmosphere, ok food but service is what going to kill them. They need to do better. The server we had has no business in this type of service . Also, maybe having seating at the entrance to the bathroom isn’t a good idea. I watched the cook, servers and customers come out if the bathroom throughout our meal, just not appetizing. One last thought. We observed the servers self serving their own drinks wander around at the most casual pace. Perhaps you could actually serve your customers by filling our drinks too. This will keep you servers coming back to the table. Our server likes to spend time in the kitchen, maybe she’s cooking too? IDK but it was a terrible experience. I should have left a zero dollar tip, I just didn’t have it in me though. I hope the owners read these reviews, I did while we were waiting for our server to resurface. Service is a problem. Please take this as an opportunity to improve. You can be...
Read moreI'm think I went to the restraunt on a bad day or something because the food was pretty bad. Probably the worst BBQ I've ever had. And the restaurant had no AC so it was like 80 degrees inside.
1st, ALL of the drinks from the fountain machines were flat and old. My family and I had to drink water because both of the fountain machines were disgusting. I didn't even know lemonade could get flat and loose its sour. 2nd, the food was the worst BBQ food I've ever had. We got 2 orders of the BBQ sampler that came with brisket, sausage link, pork ribs, a beef rib, beans, slaw, corn bread, and pulled pork. And an order of fries.
The ribs were EXTREMELY DRY. No flavor with a sprinkle of BBQ sauce. The BBQ sauce was awful. The beef rib was black, burnt, tough with no flavor. You couldn't even taste the meat. Just ash. Same with the pork rib, very dry and no flavor. Tasted like they tried to turn it into jerky. The pulled pork wasn't that dry but it had no flavor. And there was barely any BBQ sauce on our plate so I had to dip it in the beans to get some flavor going. Ask for BBQ sauce but they never gave us any. I almost used ketchup because that's how much I wanted to give my food some moisture and flavor. The brisket was just dry meat with fat and no flavor other than ash. The fries......even the fries were terrible 🤣 They were extremely over cooked. Not burnt but damn they might as well have been. I couldn't stick my fork through the fries. The coleslaw was the worst coleslaw I've ever had. It was just shredded cabbage in cloudy white water. Absolutely no flavor. No sweetness. No tang. Nothing.
The sausage link was good. That was the only meat that I liked. I dipped it in the beans and it tasted like a chili dog so that was a win for me. The corn bread was very good. Moist and sweet. Fluffy like a cake. It came with butter but it didn't even need it✨️ The beans were good. I wonder if they were canned chili beans because it tasted very similar. But I'm not a sweet baked beans person so I liked they're beans. The potatoe salad was ok I guess. Not much going for it flavor wise but my fiance ate it so👍
When I go back to williams I'm going to try this place again to see if I can turn my first experience around because this place has good reviews so I'm confused. Lucille's BBQ restraunt is the absolute GOAT at BBQ so I know what good BBQ is suppose to taste like. The char on ribs and brisket are part of the BBQ experience, they're supposed to be delicious and give the dish more character so idk what the heck this place was thinking putting that crap on a plate...
Read moreWe were seated outside and as the sunset was very very cold. We were sitting right next to a propane heater and repeatedly asked to have it turned on and were told both by the waitress and the hostess that it wouldn’t come on till after sunset. Sunset was imminent and it was freezing! We ordered three of the very same sandwiches, the French dip, and to be honest the meat was very good, but, one sandwich came without the Swiss cheese as advertised on the menu and the other two did. The Swiss cheese does make a difference in moisture content. When the waitress came back when we were half way thru our meal and asked how everything was, we pointed out that two sandwiches had Swiss cheese and one did not. She offered to take it back, however at this point, we were already halfway through our meal and stated at this point it’s not worth the time and effort to have two folks finish their sandwiches while one person had to wait. (My thought was another guest likely ordered the same sandwich w/o Swiss and our waitress grabbed wrong order.) The hostess came over and asked about meal (likely because waitress told her what had happened?) and we told her the same thing. Not long after she came back and tossed a plastic cup with melted cheddar cheese and stated “I know you didn’t want it but here it is anyway”. It wasn’t even the same cheese! She dumped a small plastic cup of semi-warmed cheddar cheese slice in the cup, while the sandwich specifically called for Swiss and the other two sandwiches had Swiss. But what was really upsetting, was her tossing it on table and her statement, then pivoting and walking away! No staying for a moment with a genuine smile and offering an apology. I’ve worked in restaurants for 40 years, waited tables and spent several years in restaurant management, and now open a run a catering company. When the waitress finally came back, we shared with her how disappointed we were in the hostess attitude. Soooo, hostess comes back and demands to know how she was disrespectful!! Ummm, how about rolling your eyes, tossing a food item on table, your statement and all around attitude towards the customer. We will never come back and recommend to our friends this is not the place to eat until their staff is...
