About the space: the restaurant is quite small, I don't know if there are seats on the 2nd floor because on the 1st floor, I only observed about 4-5 double tables and 2-3 tables on the sidewalk next to each other. I think the restaurant is more suitable for romantic dates or couples than large groups. About the food: I went with 3 people, tried 2 types of burgers and 2 sides, and here's what we felt. The size of the burger is quite moderate, if you are the type of person who can't eat much, I think 1 burger and 1-2 side dishes are enough (not too full) for 2 people. I found the crust delicious, easy to eat, very soft, spongy and not too oily. The vegetables are okay, nothing special, just regular lettuce. I especially love the sauce in the burger here but it's a pity that it's too little with a sour taste which reduces the feeling of fullness. The one we had that came with Australian beef, I think it's not my taste, I personally think the meat is good quality, not too little and very juicy, but the way it's prepped seems a bit bland to me so I'm not too into this one. However, the fried onions at Cube is something we think needs to improve. It's terrible compared to the price of 45k/dish, the fried dough doesn't stick, the onions are pungent and cold when it was served. I don't recommend this fried onion dish much, but I recommend the fries there, very crunchy ^^ About the staff: yeah 10 out of 10, they're very enthusiastic and supportive
In conclusion: Since the restaurant is located in the old quarter, the high price is inevitable, but considering all 3 factors of space, food and service with a price of about 150k/person, I think Cube will be more suitable for those who are willing to spend to experience, like European and American flavor and quantity rather than eating full, lunches/dinner with strong seasoning. For me,I will not consider going back to Cube someday because I expect more from the food compared to this...
Read moreVERY DISAPPOINTING. I notice a lot of positive reviews but they have free apple pie as an incentive so it’s no wonder. Their burgers are dry, flavourless and mediocre at best. The place is a fake hype targeting foreigners, wasted time and wasted calories.
We had high hopes, we were served cold burgers after a long wait. When we mentioned it, they put them in a microwave to heat them up instead of making them fresh, this made the salad warm, the burgers drier and the bun soggy. It was served back to us and my son was so hungry, he ate it.
We then got oil dripping chicken. We waited even longer for the sides; chips and coleslaw which was served to someone else by mistake which meant more waiting. The waiter apologised sincerely and none of this is personal towards him but there was food coming out to others, it seemed we were not the priority even after that. We decided to leave in that moment as we couldn’t wait any longer, our bill was handed to us, the sides included in the price with no adjustment made and no real concern for the dreadful experience.
We ended up leaving hungry and went to another burger restaurant. I’ve tried a few now and I would recommend Red’s, Smack, Sunkat’s in...
Read moreMininal menu with versatile options. I was impressed with the size of the food and drink cause everything comes larger than what you expected. The menu covers food from the East to West, not focusing specifically on any cuisine so I was having a hard time picking what to eat. I had the Popcorn chicken waffle and this is one of the few places where I think they actually manage to recreate the original flavour of the dish but with a little twist, which I appreciated. The drink was delightful so there was nothing to complain about. Perhaps the only problem is limited seating but the owner told me that they are gonna have more in the future so that solves the problem.
Living abroad for more than a decade before settling in Vietnam, this place became my go-to whenever I crave for what I once had but couldn't get them here. If you ever miss home, come to Cube. They may have what you are...
