We were a bit disappointed with Loc Tan restaurant, perhaps due to our high expectations. The place had good reviews on Google, and even though we typically avoid touristy spots, we hoped this one would feel more authentic. Unfortunately, the menu and flavors seemed geared towards tourists. The service was lovely, and the owner is incredibly sweet, deserving 5 stars for hospitality. However, my pork dish was chewy and lacked flavor, and my wife struggled to finish her meal. It's a safe choice for tourists but not ideal for those seeking an authentic Vietnamese experience.

Some of the best food I've had in Vietnam so far. The atmosphere is wonderful, as its one street away from the main street, it feels much more relaxed. The staff were lovely, friendly and helpful when asking for more details on some of the dishes. I had the Boc Chan which comes with spring rolls. The food is all prepared fresh to order and came in really good time - the person that brought my food over even advised me on the best way to eat it! Seriously underrated spot!

couldn't have been happier to find this spot close to my hostel. The whole restaurant is run by one lady, who does a phenomenal job on the food. I made a mistake by ordering spring rolls and a main dish (caramelised pork) and was far too full to eat it but it had a beautiful flavour. I made sure to come back just to try the spring rolls again. They were beyond delicious and I couldn't recommend this highly enough. Big respect to the woman who runs this place alone!!!

This is the best Vietnamese homecook foods in Hoi An. The lady boss always brought out dishes with the flavors that reminded me of my mother's dishes. There is no fancy gourmet foods like the stuff you see in a Western restaurant, but Vietnamese homecooking. Just so you know, I was and have always been critical about Vietnamese foods and how they are prepared. I typically commented "good & tasty, but please don't call it ( so and so) dish because it's not authentic". When I want traditional cooking, I definitely don't want to be surprised by "fusion" style. Eat here if you want to accomplish your Vietnamese experiences. Recommend "rau muong xao" under vegeterian section-you find this on every menu in Hoi An-I guarantee. I was frozen for a second when I tasted it because it's the exact flavor my mom...

Wow all I can say is this place is amazing. I have no idea what the other 2 people are giving this restaurant 1 star. The one person that post the 1 star has the wrong information. E.g. the menu so apparently they are not talking about this restaurant. Now back to this restaurant and the review. I am a person that is fair. I stayed in Vietnam for 3 nights and all I wanted was this restaurant's food. The lady Oanh (the owner) is sweet , kind, professional and really knows how to cook. Not having been in this part of Hoi An before, I decided to use Google Maps as a source of inspiration for my dinner. I was impressed with the previous reviews and headed off to Loc Tan. This part of Hoi An is often overshadowed by the magic of the Old Town, but honestly, this area is so beautiful.
