LOC TAN RESTAURANT — Restaurant in Hội An

This is the best Vietnamese homecook foods in Hoi An. The lady boss always brought out dishes with the flavors that reminded me of my mother's dishes. There is no fancy gourmet foods like the stuff you see in a Western restaurant, but Vietnamese homecooking. Just so you know, I was and have always been critical about Vietnamese foods and how they are prepared. I typically commented "good & tasty, but please don't call it ( so and so) dish because it's not authentic". When I want traditional cooking, I definitely don't want to be surprised by "fusion" style. Eat here if you want to accomplish your Vietnamese experiences. Wow all I can say is this place is amazing. I have no idea what the other 2 people are giving this restaurant 1 star. The one person that post the 1 star has the wrong information. E.g. the menu so apparently they are not talking about this restaurant. Now back to this restaurant and the review. I am a person that is fair. I stayed in Vietnam for 3 nights and all I wanted was this restaurant's food. The lady Oanh (the owner) is sweet , kind, professional and really knows how to cook. Not having been in this part of Hoi An before, I decided to use Google Maps as a source of inspiration for my dinner. I was impressed with the previous reviews and headed off to Loc Tan. This part of Hoi An is often overshadowed by the magic of the Old Town, but honestly, this area is so beautiful. The restaurant appearance itself is very modest and understated but that certainly can't be said of the food.
