The most amazing place for a walk in the city can be found on the East Bayfront. Old stumps have been removed and new trees have been planted. Just wait for spring to see the new growth! Sugar Beach provides a quiet escape to the hustle and bustle of city life. Benches and Muskoka chairs give breath-taking views of the island from sunrise to sunset and beyond. Redpath Sugar provides its own gentle entertainment as the sugar boats are emptied in a delicate ballet. Even the upgrades to the waterfront provide a great pass time as you sit and sip and taste from Against the Grain. A marvellous place to walk a...

You can’t really give a Lake Ontario beach front wall less than 5 stars now can you. The stretch here is particularly lovely despite some of the construction at the eastern end near sherbourne. Sugar Beach abuts the west end and a broad leafy avenue of mature trees and plenty of benches makes for pleasant lingering and people watching. Against the Grain I’d your only food and drinks option along here so you will pay dearly for...

I visit this place often. I think you can see why! It's busy during late-Spring, Summer and early-Autumn, especially during the days. Its less crowded after sunset, but the times I most enjoy are early mornings for the sunrise and late at night when the moon shimmers over the Inner Harbour--on certain nights. It's a calming place off-hours and that's what I feel people may...

A beautiful walkway right on the waterfront that connects Sugar Beach to Sherbourne Common. It's lovely in the summer, with the trees providing a much needed canopy and protection from the sun and heat. It's even more pretty in the fall, when the trees change colour. 🍁🌿🍂 There are benches to sit. Colourful Muskoka chairs are also on the promenade, offering a pop of colour.
