I have stayed here many times over the years and I have always reccomended the property to friends, family and coworkers as a great place to stay.||Despite this, my recent stay in early September 2025 was not at all OK.||The staff are great and do what they can but there seems to be some serious issues with management and maintence of this property.||Upon entry, both the hotel lobby and room had an awful smell. Read moreSeveral of us went up together to celebrate a friend's 50th birthday at the Tantalus. We got there quite early and the manager was able to switch us to a room that had already been prepared and said even if our room wasn't prepared, we were fine to use the facilities like the sauna and the pool which I thought was really great. We spent almost the whole weekend in the pool and in the sauna; we didn't actually end up going out for dinner in town! Instead we just cooked it ourselves in the apartment. The two bedroom apartment was fantastic. It was super clean which is honestly the biggest deal for me. It's large, it's surrounded by greenery , and its got everything you could possibly need: two full baths and twin beds (which kind of made me giggle) in the second room and a queen with ensuite in the master. As far as I know there's nothing in the way of room service or anything but considering this is like a two bedroom apartment, more Air BNB style than hotel feel, they welcomed us quickly, gave us a parking spot, and let us check in early! Staff were always happy to answer a question with a smile on their face. They do also have vending machines for pop and juice and snacks and ice. If you're looking for Uber modern cutting Edge facilities with spa etc this is not the place for you. I think this style is great for families or a group of friends when they want to get away. It's spacious, quiet l, you can do your own thing and it's in a great location. All in all it was an excellent stay! The only reason I didn't give it five star is because it doesn't have some of the amenities like five star 24-hour...
