By far the dirtiest place I have ever stayed. From the moment we entered the room, it was clear that cleanliness is not a priority here. Under the pillow of our supposedly “freshly made” bed, we found crumbs. The carpet was covered in stains, and even the couch in the room was so filthy and full of suspicious stains that we didn’t dare to sit on it. The curtains were also dirty and had weird stains. The bathroom situation was even worse. While it’s advertised as a shared bathroom between just two rooms, the hostel staff also uses it as their laundry room… the staff entered our shared part of the room without any warning in the morning to use the washing machine, which is placed in front of the shared bathroom. Supposed to be shared with ONE OTHER ROOM. And yeah off course using that washing Maschine, in YOUR room, will cost a fine. Also the staff expects you to make space for them if you are currently using the room with the washing Maschine?! A used Q-tip was lying on the bathroom floor for our entire stay, untouched, which says everything about the cleaning standards here. The bathroom itself was moldy, and I honestly doubt it has been cleaned properly in a long time. Even after complaining and asking for fresh towels and bed sheets, we still received stained towels. Nothing here feels clean. On top of all this, the keys barely worked and we needed new ones, card payment wasn’t accepted, and the rooms were loud and poorly insulated. Honestly, the only positive thing about this place is its location. But it doesn’t matter how good the location is when everything else is such a mess. If you’re absolutely desperate, maybe you can survive one night here. But if you have any other option, take it and run. This was, without exaggeration, the dirtiest and most unpleasant place I have ever stayed.

One of the worst experiences of my life. I don't understand why and how I put money on this. Just terrible service. I arrive at the reception already and the young guy at the reception speaks to me very badly, with a rudeness that you can't even imagine, fortunately there was another guy who was a bit welcoming. I am given the room on the top floor shared with thousands of other people, we go up and it is without an elevator, I am the first to arrive according to the gentleman, but surprise, the room is already dirty, the bathroom, horrible, pubic hair, hair on the floor, on the toilet bowl, in the showers, sink... The bathroom in an unforgiving state. I was truly speechless. One toilet cubicle and two showers only in a room with at least 15 beds. Is this normal? The sheets we are given are small, the image speaks for itself. I didn't sleep all night, a group arrived and kept talking loudly despite my remarks to let me sleep, but nothing. I add to this that in the evening, I had no electricity to charge my devices. I give it a 0 but if it was less, I would have given it less than that. The photos they show on the internet are not at all true, basically, the tables are dirty, the carpets even worse, the dirty water nothing to say. I think the bathroom hasn't been cleaned in a long time

I like the the facilities, cleaness, atmosphere and location that close to Old Town Square, only 2 mins walk. 10 mins walk to Charles Bridge and 8 mins to the subway station. There are many restaurants, bars, food kiosks, market, department stores and shops in that area. There is also a money exchange center in front of the hostel. I feel safe and I feel cozy inside my room in female domitory (total €30 for 2 nights + €20 for key deposit and a little bit charge for towel). It takes time a little bit before the heater works but it's warm after that. The hostel provides hair dryer, washing machine, kitchen equipments inside our room. You can cook and put foods in fridge in common area. Good! However this hostel is an antique building so it's not easy to open the entrance door because it's a little bit old, you may take time for that, and the building has no elevator, so it was so tired to walk up to your room if you have heavy stuffs. And I also would like to have a towel without extra charge. But other things are very great anyway. I really recommend!!

DO NOT STAY HERE I've never reviewed a place in my life but I feel like I must after our stay. We were attracted by the good location but regretted this decision the minute we walked in. The staff were unhelpful and rude, nothing like we've experienced before, did not have a city centre hostel vibe in the slightest.

It was incredibly dirty, such that my bag changed colour after a few days on the floor. The bathroom wasn't much better with hair strewn on the floor, and in the shower. The bedding was almost unusable but we had no choice but to suck it up.

We stayed out late most nights but due to the central location the noise continued right through to the morning in the streets. We hardly saw another traveller across our entire stay which was disappointing for a hostel (perhaps other tourists read more deeply into where they were staying...).

There were some strange characters who were always loitering in the kitchen area. Some middle aged barefoot alcoholics who we assume were the owners. Very unwelcoming to enter the shared space when a lunatic is shotting whisky at 3pm.

The kitchen was unusable. Gone-off food and poor cleaning meant it stunk, the utensils draw wouldn't open, so we asked the staff and they just laughed at it and returned to their drink - the other pots and pans looked like they hadn't seen a dishwasher in months. This meant we couldn't cook at all during our stay.

Just please don't stay here for your own good. I'd put 0...

BED BUGS AVOID THIS PLACE FOUR YOUR HEALTH! ! I arrived with my family on Friday night 22th Sept. Next day I woke up with big bites of BED BUGS on my hands, legs, shoulder and back. I went to the reception and the girl told me that she will speak with the manager about that. When I come back in the afternoon the answer on reception was that the manager checked it personally and didn't found anything on the room. Also one of the girls at the reception told me if I saw them (asking me about a prove) I told her not I didn't see because that is disgusting to try to find them. So, she told me that is not possible and perhaps it was regarding with something that I ate. They called the cleaner who changed my bed sheets, but still new bites appeared on my legs the next two days.

Today 25-09-2017 we removed the bed sheets to do the check out and the BEDBUGS appeared in my bed and the bed of one of my relatives. (Pictures are attached to this email). I showed the pictures to the guy who was at reception and he told me to send this email. Also, the bathroom was very dirty for the 3 days of our stay. we didn't see it clean at all. As well as the dish washer full of dirty plates and cups. The pillows smells very bad.

HOSTEL HOMER was the most dirty place that I ever been. Avoid to stay here because they have a huge issue with cleanness and a Hazard of...
