The Original Amsterdam Canal Cruise - Rokin location — Attraction in Amsterdam

On our first night in Amsterdam (Aug. 10, 2025), my family took one of the evening cruises with this company, and we had the best time. We talk about it all the time to this day.

First of all, our tour guide was AMAZING. We chatted with him for a long time, getting to know him and him getting to know us. He was an enthusiastic tour guide and gave all information in both Dutch and English. The history, facts, and local knowledge he shared all felt valuable and interesting to hear. I so badly wish I remembered his name so I could give him kudos, but he may be in one of the photos I attach so hopefully he can get the compliments he deserves!

The night cruise we did came with snacks and drinks, and we enjoyed the non-alcoholic and alcoholic selections! We had a great time sitting at the table together, and our tour guide took great care of us by refilling our drinks and snacks when requested, and talking about life and telling stories!

The canal night cruise is beautiful, as expected. The lights shining on the water as the sun went down is an unmissable sight, and the boat was very nice and comfortable. We truly just had the best time and I would recommend this...

When I got on the boat, the captain asked me where I was from. When I said Turkey, he looked at me strangely and said nothing. I find it odd to ask someone “where are you from.” Later, I asked him how to open the windows since it was hot inside, but instead of explaining, he replied, “you can do it yourself.” I wasn’t asking for help, just how it worked. Decided to take a 1-hour river cruise with his company as the prices were much better than were appearing on other tourist sites. Paid €14 and the tour was smooth and the boat was beautiful. It was a very cold day but luckily the boat was a full glass top so you felt like you could see everything around you and were nice and warm as Amsterdam is cold this time of year.
