i’ve been going to city center mall in doha since i was a child, and it’s always been a place i have fond memories of. growing up, it was the hub for shopping, dining, and entertainment, and it holds a special place in my heart. however, right before and during covid, the mall kind of lost its usual spark. there weren’t as many people going, and it felt quieter than usual. it was tough to see a place that was once so lively become almost deserted at times.

but the revival of the mall in recent years has been nothing short of impressive. a huge part of this comeback has to do with the metro being directly linked to the mall, which made it much easier for people to visit again. now, city center is back to being vibrant, buzzing with energy, and feeling like the bustling shopping destination it used to be. what’s even more amazing is that the mall is constantly going through renovations to keep itself modern and on par with other top malls in the city. you can tell they’re really committed to staying up-to-date and keeping the shopping experience fresh.
