A fantastic little cafe serving simple but good drinks. The outstanding part of this cafe is the pottery painting (they also do throwing but I haven't tried that). The staff are amazing - very friendly and knowledgeable and happy to go out of their way to help. From choosing what to paint, how to plan and finally how to paint they will be as supportive or hands off as you need. Beginner or expert (I'm a beginner but sat alongside an experienced painter) there is something for you here. A relaxing experience with a lovely momento in your pottery I highly recommend this to anyone. In the 2 days I have visited I have seen all age groups from babies making footprints to a more "mature" audience as well as large groups, small groups, couples and others like myself who came to paint alone - this place really is welcoming for everyone! I'm not exaggerating when I say the lovely people here and my time painting is one of the best bits of my trip to Brighton and I am looking forward to seeing my...
Read moreWent for my sister's birthday for the first time and it was a lovely experience. Never done it before and it was really calm and a happy time. The please itself was nice. However, what let it down was the extortionate pricing and the service, considering how much you are spending I would expect the staff to be more engaged with you as a customer. They did inform us of how it all works which is great but after that there was nothing. We managed to hail someone down to order a drink, but no one came over to ask us if we wanted one and considering what you are paying for the experience I would expect someone to be there. We had no one come over to see how we were doing or ask how we were getting on and that was an overall let down. Nice, but probably wouldn't return just based on the pricing and...
Read moreWe had a lovely morning at The Painting Pottery Cafe. The staff were very helpful and there was plenty of choice when it came to picking what we wanted to paint, paint colours and brushes sponges, stamps etc.. too. I made a sparkly jellyfish as they had a glitter coat you can put on over the coloured paint and I can't wait so see how it turns out after it's been in the kiln. We were only visiting Brighton so we could choose to have our pottery delivered back home at a small cost each which I thought was brilliant!
I found it fairly accessible and was able to park my small mobility scooter inside and transfer to a chair, although I would recommend checking with them in advance if you are using a...
