Traveling to Baltimore!

My wife and I stayed at Hyatt Regency Baltimore Inner Harbor from Sunday, August 21 through Thursday, August 25, 2022. I am a Hyatt Globalist and received many loyalty benefits. One of the most important things to me is the response to my requests on room preparation and early check in. I sent an email to the hotel the day before my arrival and made 2 requests. Our room was prepared as requested and was ready when we arrived around noon on Sunday, August 21. Vannie, a front desk associate, was very efficient, courteous, and helpful in making sure all my Globalist benefits are provided by the hotel. My wife and I liked our harbor view hotel room, which has elegant wall paper, good working thermostat for control of room temperature, good furniture, and a very large television. There is a small fridge with a glass front door; it worked well and we store fruits and bakery items to enhance our enjoyment of local specialties. House keeping was good and I believe my Globalist status played a role in getting the special attention. Our house keepers were courteous and efficient in cleaning our room. Our interactions with the house keepers were also very positive. We dined at Bistro 300 every morning during our stay. We also had dinner at Bistro 300 a few times. Service was prompt and courteous and food was good. Dinning area is open but not busy. We could get a seat easily. We liked the openness of the dining area and could imagine the glorious days of the restaurant business before Covid hit hospitality industry. Overall, the hotel is tastefully decorated and has a very nice open area on second floor. We enjoyed our stay and will definitely come back when we visit Baltimore again.

My husband and I booked a room here through Hotwire. When I tell you the service was ATROCIOUS, I'm being polite. The staff at the front during check-in were so unwelcoming. Upon getting our room key, we parked our car in the garage and walked to the elevator (one of the elevators in the garage wasn't working, so luckily, we didn't get stuck). Once back inside, we made our way to our room. They put us in a double bedroom after paying for a king. Clearly guest services hadn't come to clean this room because when we walked in the drapes we closed, the lights were on, the TV was on and one of the beds had no pillows (the pillows were stored on a bench without pillowcases). The bathroom was disgusting. We tried calling downstairs but waited on hold. So, we went downstairs to talk with the front desk and say that we paid for a king, so why are we in a double room? The girl said she needed to get the manager who was ANYTHING but accommodating. Said they're sold out and can't do anything for us. Made no attempt to apologize, to try and get us to stay, she basically made us feel like we were not wanted there. We handed back the keys and checked out. I think we were in the hotel for a total of 25 minutes. This is the worst hospitality experience I've ever had, and I travel a lot. I would never return to this location and would never recommend this hotel for their lack of cleanliness, rude staff, and overall treatment of their guests and facilities. For a Hyatt, this was highly disappointing. Save your money and book elsewhere.

Worst hotel experience I ever had in my life, first night I seen a RAT in the hotel lobby climbing on the couches and in the front windows, I complain about the RAT and wanted my money back to leave and stay at another hotel, but I was denied my refund but was offer free breakfast which already came included with the room.. How can u offer me something that I already get for free.. An why would I wanna eat anything from this hotel when I just seen a BIG RAT the night before.. The next day I got charge for 200 hundred dollars on my card which they already put a hold on my card for 150 when I checked in.. When I went down to the front desk to ask why they could not give me a reason why.. After I went down to the front desk to ask about my money, someone came banging on my door at 1am in the morning and than when i get to the door no one is there.. When I checked in I was asked do I want housekeeping and I said yes, they never came to clean my room and give me new towels and rags and make the beds, I went to the front desk to complain 7 times but they still never came to clean the room.. Than when i checked out they charge my card again which the total came to $494 when I had already paid $600 hundred dollars for the room.. They steal ya money, dont wanna clean the rooms and they have RATS in there hotel, I wouldnt recommend this hotel to anyone, they customer services is the worst.. Its not allowing me to upload the video of the rat but I have pictures as well.. DO NOT STAY AT THIS RAT INFESTED HOTEL...

I HATE HIDDEN FEES! So we checked in around 8 PM. We went to dinner. They told us that we could park in the public parking garage just to bring the ticket to them so they can give us a pass. I did all of that and the receptionist said ,”just wanted to make sure you were aware that that will be an additional $30 parking charge.” I was not aware of that. I kind of figured parking would be free if you already paid for the room. We get to the room and this is what we saw(see pics). We had to go back down seven floors, go back to the receptionist, show her the pictures of what we saw. She showed the pics to her manager (I guess). They did comp my parking so there is that. The Hyatt is a good location. No view but they did offer to comp us a room with a view. I took the $30 parking fee waiver since I wouldn’t really get time to appreciate the view anyway. Wasn’t expecting to pay $30 for parking. I’ve booked the room through book.com. No where on booking.com did they say there was a parking fee. Did I say I hate hidden fees? The second room was clean and the view of the city was nice.
