I am a concierge at a hotel in Avon, Colorado. I called the box office to ask if it was OK for a guest to bring an infant into the theater. The reservations agent checked, and her response was that it was fine as long as the patron realized they needed to exit the theater if the infant made a commotion. I spoke with the guests who understood and I purchased four tickets on their behalf.
Part way into the show the mother of the infant took the child out to nurse. There was no commotion. In the lobby she was approached by the general manager who told her George Winston had requested that no small children be in the audience and told her it was not a good idea to go back into the theater, but she could watch the television. Her husband finally came out to the lobby, talked to the general manager who was not willing to issue a refund, and again stated the infant was not allowed back in the theater. The entire party left at intermission.
The reservations staff should not have ever told me it was OK to bring an infant into the theater, and the general manager should have at least issued a refund for one ticket.

Read morePurchased tickets for 4 for our family to attend a concert here when their website was showing last 4 tickets left to sit together. However there was a last minute change of plans on our end and we don't have a babysitter. Husband tried to sell tickets online on vividseats but tickets won't sell because Vilar added more tickets at better prices. The only reason we rushed into buying tickets in the first place is because the venue showed tickets nearly sold out. They say these deceiving practices are "normal" practices for the venues. Price adjustments are maybe normal but lying to customers that tickets are sold out doesn't seem to be ok. I don't recommend buying tickets...
