1 star is too many. RUN (Dinner review from 3/18/23)
We arrived at the Park Hyatt with 2 kids tired from traveling. We decided eating in the hotel was our best bet. That's the only reason we didn't get up and walk out of here.
Keep in mind, EVERY single thing we ordered was forgotten about at least once. We actually felt it was 2005 and we were on Punk'd. Never saw Ashton Kutcher, but this restaurant might actually be a joke.
We weren't asked if we wanted drinks. When we were almost done our food, the kids wanted drinks, so we flagged someone down for them. We ordered a martini and glass of wine along with 2 sodas. The alcohol made it, the kids drinks had to be reminded another 2 times.
Ordered the burrata, and asked for naan bread and crackers (it's $5 per order of bread or crackers btw). we received 1 order of naan 5-10 minutes after we had been eating the burrata with a fork, then we received the crackers intermittently and randomly throughout our "meal".
Kid's burger tasted/smelled of rotten eggs, fries weren't cold, but they weren't hot. service was already so bad we just ordered a second entree, didn't think the restaurant could handle us sending it back.
Kid's salmon was ACTUALLY GOOD, but it was like a 3oz portion, so she ended up getting a second entree as well.
The veal ossobuco was edible but nothing special. Certainly not worth $60.
The seabass filet was full of large pinbones. I know we're in the middle of the country, but the kitchen should know how to filet a fish. It was dramatically overcooked, but it may have been from sitting under a heat lamp too long. My plate was too hot for the server or myself to touch.
Tough, hard, full of bones. It was honestly awful.
We probably waited at least 40 minutes between ordering and receiving our entrees. the kid's second entrees showed up before the ossobuco.
The star of the day was the truffle mashed potatoes.
The best part of our meal was when we got our check. I can assure you this was the worst $300 I've ever spent at a restaurant.
This is an embarrassment to the Park Hyatt brand.

Read moreMy rating of two stars represents that I was happy with the food, but the service was terrible. Had an early (5:30 PM) dinner reservation for two. There was only one other couple in the entire restaurant...and we get seated right next to them. Shortly thereafter, another couple arrives, and they are seated immediately to the other side of the couple. Six people in the restaurant and we're all seated next to each other. When we left (about 90 minutes later), there were a few more patrons in the restaurant, but it was still essentially empty. When the server asked to take our order, my husband ordered a martini, along with a bottle of wine for dinner. First course arrived almost immediately after ordering - even before he received his martini. Note to server: A martini is a "before dinner drink" - not a have a dinner drink! We ordered a $150 bottle of Hess red wine; it was at room temperature, not at cellar temperature as a red wine should be. And it was served in the white wine glasses. My husband finished his main course first and his plate was taken away. A few minutes later, the server came back and asked if he wanted to order dessert -- and I'm still finishing my main course !! When we finally did order dessert, we weren't even asked if we wanted coffee or tea. The service throughout the entire dinner too fast - a little more time needed to be allotted between the courses. Felt like they were just trying to get us served as quickly as possible so we'd be gone as quickly as possible. The service and how we were treated did not match what would be expected of almost any restaurant -- an especially not that of an expensive restaurant at...
Read moreI was disappointed with my expierince at 1800 Mountainside Bar and Grill last night. I was traveling with my family to Colorado and we’re staying in the area. I’ve been to this restaurant before and my expierince has been good although the menu has been limited concistently. But this time was different. I ordered myself a prime filet. When it arrived, there was just the meat on the plate. No sauce, garnish, or anything. I was surprised. I asked for steak sauce which I later received. The steak was good. My family members had ordered the collyflower steak. They were even more surprised. The collyflower was basically raw, no flavor, and had nothing to do with steak. Basically was just the vegetable with some chick peas on the side. This was not expected and the menu was a little misleading and didn’t come to expectations which I had because of my good experiences before. This new menu should be fixed and a simple addition of a side of greens with the steak would be great. It wasn’t pleasant to be served a piece of steak with just the meat. I think that this could be improved. Also, we had ordered a side dish of the artichoke dish which we have had before in March and was full of artichokes. But this time, it was a price of bread with cherry tomatoes and no artichoke. Was it in the spread on top of the bread and below the tomatoes/ balsamic vinaigrette. We couldn’t find any artichoke in the artichoke dish....
