Rimini — Restaurant in Beaver Creek

First, let me say I’m a big, big fan of their products. I would typically give five stars for the products and environment alone. It’s charming, adorable and visually welcoming from a product presentation standpoint.

Second, it’s a nice location hugged into the mountain side of the village. It’s open late enough to enjoy after an evening walk, performances at the Vilar, or after dinner.

Third, I have an epic pass and visit beaver creek a lot. Maybe $18 (before a tip) is a bit much for confections for two people. I acknowledge it’s a luxury and to me — it’s totally worth it. 100% phenomenal product offerings. Kudos.

Here is the caveat - the service is beyond poor. Not like sort of questionable. Like I feel abused after having spent twenty bucks - and the staff is extraordinarily rude. I am not even slightly exaggerating and after fifty years on the planet that this is in the top three of negative customer service I have ever received. Anywhere.

There is one individual who is so noteworthy in their begrudging manner in providing service to customers that I frequently will choose not to buy treats at all. I literally will see this person and turn around and leave. It’s a buzzkill after a day on the mountain, be craving their amazing crepes or gelato, and get roasted at the register.

It’s a horrible feeling to know I am providing revenue to a place who endorses frosty, rude, snarky, condescending service. The products are great. But / frankly the quality of customer service makes it difficult to want to support their wonderful, magical offerings.

Sorry. Be forewarned that you’ll get a tasty treat worth the money. You’ll just hate how you were treated...

First of all the gentlemen behind the counter was rude. I complemented on their expresso maker and all he said to me was"are you going to order anything". There was nobody in the cafe so it's not like I was holding up a line by giving them a complement.

It looks like the owner has a vision in place that was not truthfully fulfilled, lets you say it looks like they gave up. The choice of music was almost offensive for how cute and pretty the place looks, not relaxing and calming at all. (Rap,hip hop in a bakery ) come on!!!!

The food : Oh the food..... omg. I ordered a French crape, which taste like old shoes (if I can image what a old shoe would taste like). The crape itself was not cooked all the way and each bite would stick to the roof of my mouth and taste like watery flower. It was 95% crape and 5% filling (mushroom and cheese )

The Nutella crape had about 2% of Nutella and rest of uncooked crape with brown Bannana inside of it.

The latte: well we ordered two lattes and asked for the guy to put them in a cup instead of a paper cup. There was about 50 cups right by the machine but he said " no I don't have any regular cups" I mean really... you have this amazing machine with cups sitting on top of it and you lie right to my face ?!

Overall it was 50$ for 3 tinny uncooked crapes that we put straight into the garbage ( it was not eatable) and two lattes( that tasted like...

Great spot for AM or Après snacks of crepes, gelato, bon bon, sandwiches and THE BEST HOT CHOCOLATE IN THE WORLD!!!! My wife is a pro hot coco drinker and she swears this is the best ever. I loved it too. Crepes were awesome but the plain is the best or Nutella if you like it. Apple strudel crepe is served hot with a side of gelato is good. Gelato is soooo good. Gelato is wonderful. Lots of flavors and servings are small so you can have a lot of them. fast service. Eat inside or out. Great place after dinner or skating or AM before skiing.
