Beaver Creek Ice Rink — Local services in Four Corners States

Really nice place to ice skate right in the middle of Beaver Creek resort. We weren't staying at the resort and came in at 4:00 p.m. and found that at 4:00 p.m. and onward you get 4 hours of free parking in the parking garage. No one was charging for ice skating even though it's listed at $5 there doesn't seem to be anywhere to pay and at very least no one watching, in the end we got one of the best free experiences you could get, there are ice skate rentals somewhere nearby but we didn't go look because we brought our own. They don’t sharpen skates around the holidays. People walk on the pavement and the skates are so rough and dull that they won’t run on the ice or hold an edge. Might as well use ski boots. Skates are very uncomfortable and both my kids barely skated before giving up due to pain and frustration of not having any edges. Outright dangerous and a total waste of money. Said they sharpen the skates after the holidays, but not worth it around...

Beautiful setting. Sculptures with color changing lights. Fire pits with seating nearby. Lovely atmosphere. Even if you don't skate, it's special just to hang out there, have a coffee, and walk around. (You can't go on the ice w/o skates) Plus they have a sign that says "skaters have to do their jumps in the MIDDLE of the rink." .... I'll stick...
