Having stayed at Hi Hostel recently in NY, I gave Found a try as it was a place where I was able to use credit card points for a shared room. Some things to note - Windows can be opened in the room, providing fresh air. Clean and comfortable bed - Service was really good. Even though there was conflict, being in the service industry, I saw staff doing their best to remain firm and respectful - They don't provide earplugs or slippers - Lockers are easy to use, with automatic locks in place - There is a clean, well maintained bathroom in each room, which is nicer than having to go outside the halls to use it (in Hi hostel's case) - Shared rooms are between all genders. I stayed there for four nights and every night I had male roommates until the last night. Someone was playing their phone with no headphones and spraying cologne early in the morning, thankfully they stopped after being asked - No kitchen, no refrigerator, but free tea and coffee in the lobby - There is a restroom in the basement floor for public and a seating area to eat with utensils and plates provided All in all I had a good stay at Found. I do miss having a kitchen to use, and fridge to store but the other points also balance it out. Located centrally, it's not hard to find restaurants nearby. I wish they had female only shared rooms haha but other than that I had a pleasant stay.

I stayed here this past week and have nothing but positive things to say about this place. The location was great being about three blocks from Boston Commons (big park), as well as being by several of the subway lines (green and orange). I will admit the rooms were kind of small, but there was plenty of room to have my suitcase and still walk around. The rooms may be a third smaller than other hotels, but so are the prices. Edward at the front desk was extremely helpful in both suggesting great places to eat as well as directions to pretty much any place I needed to go. If I'm in Boston again, I would definitely see if there were any rooms available here. Regarding COVID safety, they had hand sanitizer everywhere and I felt extremely safe. WiFi was quick although I had to log in everyday which may be a security thing. The room was clean, and the bed was comfy.

My two-night stay at this hotel in September 2024 was truly one of the most disappointing and frustrating hotel experiences of my life. Boston hotels were quite booked in this week, so when I found this one, near where I would be having meetings, I thought I had lucked it out. It was expensive — with taxes and fees, it came to $750 a night — but I assumed it would therefore be a special place to stay. Instead, it was like a barely glorified youth hostel.

The room was tiny, with zero amenities — no kettle, no coffee maker, no robe or slippers, no minibar or water or snacks to purchase. The bathroom had thin, gritty towels and disposable plastic cups. The bed was somewhere between a twin and a full. The room was on the second floor and faced the street, and the window wasn't sound-proofed, so the sounds of traffic and sirens were disruptive during the night, and then there was street construction that started at 6:45am the first morning, and incredibly loud garbage removal at 5am the second morning. On top of that, the AC unit in the room made a terrible grinding noise every time it cycled on, making me jump every tie. The curtain wasn't light-blocking and there was a street light right outside the window, so the room had a disturbing and ugly glow all night. Because of the noise and the light, I slept terribly.

The hotel has no restaurant or food service, no coffee service, nothing but a vending machine. There is no gym, no real lobby or lounge. When I came back to my room after my first day of meetings, my room had not been made up. I called the front desk and was told there is only housekeeping every other day — and a reminder, this hotel was charging me $750 a night. To top it off, there was a flyer for a local cleaning service stuck in my door, which means someone was wandering around the hotel, leaving promotional materials, and the front desk hadn't noticed or stopped them.

To recap: Noisy, cramped, bare-bones, bad security, no services, no amenities. If my room had been $200 a night, I could maybe handle some of this, but at $750 a night, I felt like I was being gouged.

After my stay, I tried to get in touch with the hotel or the company to voice my concerns before posting them publicly. The only message I had from the hotel before my stay was sent through Hotels.com. The “Contact Us” page on the website has no contact information. The chain is owned by a private equity company that also has no contact information. The Instagram account has not been updated in over three years. I found an info@foundhotels.com email address online and sent my thoughts, but after two weeks, I had not received a response. All this makes this feel like a dicey organization that is not about hospitality, but instead about gouging people. The business plan is clearly not based on getting repeat customers.

All in all, one of the single worst hotel experiences of my 40-plus years of travel all over...

We decided to stay at FOUND on our trip to Boston. It was cheap and the location was close to everything we wanted to do, but just about everything else was terrible. We arrived and were greeted by a very rude front desk employee. She gave us our room and wasn't pleasant in the slightest. We shrugged it off and went to the room. It was very cramped, the floor clearly hadn't been vacuumed and the curtains were covered in dust. We decided to just ignore that and relax on the bed and watch some tv for a bit. However, the room had no remote for the television (which could be turned on manually with a power button, but without a remote could not be turned off and we couldn't change the channel or volume) and upon request we were told that every room has a remote and that she doesn't know what to do about it. She then rudely said that the person who cleaned the room is very good (clearly not) and would have made sure that there was a remote and to go back and even check under the bed because WE didn't look hard enough the first time! Now if the room had been cleaned properly why would the remote be under the bed? But, after checking again (even under the bed, by lifting the mattress like every normal hotel guest is expected to do), we returned to the front desk and were told to come back in 20 minutes when her shift was done because the next guy would be able to handle it better. A few minutes later we got a phone call where she basically yelled "Come here now, you get this one" Click. When I went back to the front desk yet again, she practically threw a remote at me and walked away. Where this remote magically came from, I don't know. She clearly didn't check properly the first couple of times that we asked her, and showed us she really didn't care about her job one bit. Now let me tell you about the sink in the room. The sink got stuck so that it only let out hot water. No matter which way you turned the faucet, it was scalding hot and my girlfriend burnt her hand on it. After all that trouble over a remote, we were reluctant to ask for help so I had to mess with the knobs under the sink until it worked properly. The only good thing about the hotel was the checkout. They had my money and were overjoyed to...

This is most definitely the worst hotel I've stayed at in my life so far. I had no idea being a 2 star hotel make them think that they can get away with being a terrible hotel. I can't for the life of me think of anything positive about this hotel. 1 star is too good for this hotel.

I paid nearly $500 for 3 nights in this hotel. The room that they assigned me reeked of cigarettes. I talked to the front desk regarding this and to request a room change, however they told me that all the other rooms were fully booked (I was not mad at this point as I know that this is beyond their control and that guests break the rules from time to time), however the person at the front desk made an unprofessional joke towards me saying that "I wAs tHe OnE wHo SmOkED AnD I JuSt dON't wAn'T tO bE fIneD" (very unprofessional, considering the fact that I paid a considerable amount of money for this room)

The room in itself was nothing to write home about. Aside from the strong stench of cigarettes. There was a TV but no channels (why even put a TV in there in the first place then?). You can hear really loud noises coming from the other rooms (I think it might be related to plumbing), it woke me up a couple of times at night. There is no hot water, the water is slightly warm at best (I'm lucky that the days I stayed are one of the rare warmer days in Boston).

The location itself while being in downtown is quite a walk from any bus stops/ subway stations.

Anyways, I'm glad that this is my second time in Boston (I stayed at CitizenM previously and they were miles better in every way, unfortunately they don't have any rooms available during my visit). As if I stayed in this hotel during my first trip, I will definitely get a really bad impression of Boston. Not coming back here definitely.

I think I know why it's called FOUND Hotel, as I FOUND the WORST hotel I've ever stayed at in my life. And I stayed in a hut in a small Indonesian village once a couple years back.

STAY AWAY from this hotel like it's the plague, trust me you're better off at spending a few extra bucks at another hotel rather than being constantly harassed and disrespected...
