I hesitantly give 3 stars. The staff was great and we saw a few dolphins at a distance. I realize the dolphins are wild and in their natural habitat and the staff has no control over the dolphins and can not make them jump in the waves made by the boat as described on their website - - - "Mega Bite was specifically designed to create a "MEGA" wake that dolphins love to jump and play in". - - - Our big problem was getting across the bridge into Clearwater and then finding parking. This NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED on the Mega Bite website. We drove from Orlando to Clearwater and had plenty of time to get there, so we thought. It took 30 minutes to go the last 3 miles because of the high traffic across the bridge and then once we got across the bridge, the Pier 60 lot was full. The hotel that I passed had a sign posted that stated hotel guest parking only. I made it back toward the marina and after driving around the lot, I was finally lucky enough to find a place to park. It only allowed 30 minutes on the meter but had the parkmobile app, so I was fine with that. I could add time via the app. WRONG!! Apparently, the marina only allows 30 minute parking and DOES NOT allow adding extra time with the app and there were no signs (that I saw) that stated 30 minute parking only. If you choose to do the Mega Bite tour and you are only coming in for a day (like I did), please be sure to allow for plenty of travel time (add at least 1 additional hour to your planned travel time) and another 30 minutes to find parking (where you can park for more than 30 minutes). We literally made it to the boat just before they left for the tour. Granted, the staff said that we could have taken the next tour, but we did not have time to wait for the next tour. If I had it to do over, I would choose to go to the Clearwater Marine Aquarium to visit Winter and Hope (from the Dolphin Tale). Sorry Mega Bite, but the stress of it all was not worth the price paid to see a few dolphins...
Read moreOh yeaaaaa...... lots of fun! The dolphins were out on our day! We seen a few sights along the way, but nothing compared to how close we were able to come to the dolphins 🐬 to get great photos! 👍 I'd "definitely" take this tour again! From the time we signed up at the kiosk, the 3 ladies present were so much fun to talk to, and hilarious stories along the way! The captain and first mate on our cruise 🛳 were stellar! They were happy, fun, informative and energetic! This company is result driven from the employees up! The tour was approximately 1½ hours long and worth the money 💰! The boat ride was smooth and a bathroom was on-board for all of us! The boat was clean and well equipped in case of an emergency! In addition, the boat is partially covered if you want to stay out of the sun! The dolphins 🐬 frolicked about and played in the wake as we drove away! It was a perfect trip.... an asset to the community as well as the tourists! I WOULD ENCOURAGE YOU TO CALL AHEAD TO MAKE YOUR...
Read moreLots of fun. Guide and captain were very attentive and even let our two year old sit in the captain's chair and "drive" the boat. Shark frame was cool and we sat up front looking through his teeth. The dolphins are wild animals so I guess some trips are hot or miss, but we found a good size pod of 6 or seven and were able to pull right up. They hung out just a foot or so away from the boat and then when they took off these guys were total surfers jumping two feet or so off our side wake for about a mile. They took us down basically saying they were wild animals so we needed to let them break as they were a super playful pod with babies and likely to keep following. Good to do early in your trip as they give you a good rundown of the beaches, entertainment and restaurants. Took one star off for charging an extra $10 for the souvenir photo. For the price and the fact that they print them all out anyway before you agree to buy it should be included. It's a cute pic so...
