The Salty Mermaid Beach Boats, LLC — Attraction in Clearwater

Unethical Business ALERT. If I could give them 0 stars I would. I was visiting Clearwater on Valentine’s Day weekend with my wife and daughter. I booked the VD sunset cruise with Salty a few days prior. You have to access the marina through a Courtyard Marriott location in Clearwater. I entered Courtyard in my GPS and it mistakingly mapped me to the location in Miramar Beach. We missed our cruise due to my mistake. We were pretty bummed and I was especially bummed since I made the mistake in GPS. I called them 10 minutes prior to sail time and told them we wouldn’t make it in time and they explained that they would refund my tickets to which I was really grateful for. A couple weeks goes by and my CC statement doesn’t show a refund. I reached out and now I’m being told they won’t refund since I didn’t purchase ticket insurance. We spent our first day of our honeymoon with a sunset cruise on the Salty Mermaid! It was AMAZING. All the other boats were booked up and I'm GLAD. We passed by the other cruises and they were packed like sardines and looked BORING. The salty mermaid was an absolute BLAST. PLENTY of great music! An amazing sound system to make all boats on the water jealous! They served us some sandwiches, shrimp, fruit, and chicago style hot dogs that were fantastic! They accepted all music request. We cruised around quite a bit then found ourselves anchored down for an amazing firework show for the 4th of July! Our host (the owner) was such a sweetheart! When she heard it was our honeymoon she did everything she could to make it memorable and it WAS. We even saw DOLPHINS!!! The captain and his first mate were also great!! They handled this boat excellently!! WE 150% RECOMMEND THIS CRUISE!!! THANK YOU ALL...

The Salty Mermaid was an incredible experience. I went into it not knowing what to expect as it was my first time on a boat and a sunset cruise and this was an unforgettable memory that I will cherish for years. They were incredibly welcoming, they matched the vibe of our group and encouraged us to have fun and enjoy the moment. We were able to choose the music, we had a lot of fun dancing with the backdrop of the gulf! Captain Alex deserves his own shout out for putting up with our shenanigans. He learned the electric slide and helped us take some great group photos. Overall a 10/10 experience. I would recommend this to everyone and will 100% be booking this again next time I’m in Florida...
