We ordered an accent piece. $1000. It had many cracks and was put together poorly. They said they have to call the factory to see about a the possibility of a refund. It’s been almost a week. They are taking no responsibility for the item they sold. The sales person said “they don’t work as quickly as we do.” This is unacceptable and horrible customer service. I would not recommend purchasing a product from this company.
*In response to the reply- we were not told about any cracks to begin with when we purchased this item. Also, that does not explain about the many dents & dings & horrible looking glue job. Also, why would I exchange the item when I was told there is no guarantee that I wouldn’t get another defective item. I understand that this is not a perfect world- it is my fault I was only expecting the same customer service I’ve received from other large companies such as wayfair. I wouldn’t have even written this review if someone had reached out to follow up. Also, I purchased the product from you so why wouldn’t you issue the credit knowing the response time would be delayed from the factory & then you wait for the refund? Why should I be penalized because your factory is taking long to respond? I do love the piece & I would have exchanged it if I was guaranteed a better product on the next one. Read moreMy girlfriend and I paid for our furniture in full back in early November. The incompetent staff at this store neglected to place our order with the manufacturer until late December (6 full weeks after receiving our order AND full payment). They contacted us just before Christmas to inform us that the cocktail table had been discontinued. We told them to place the order for the rest of the items (which should have been done weeks earlier). We called back a week later to check to make sure they had ordered our furniture and found out that not only had they not ordered anything, but they also told us that the end table we had ordered was discontinued, not the cocktail table. We had to select different furniture yet again, and they finally managed to order our furniture.
Fast forward a couple of months and only our entertainment center has arrived (with pieces missing). Our cocktail table and end table still haven't arrived and they keep pushing back the expected delivery date. The staff lies about not being able to give us updates on the status of our order and the manager, Sheryl, should probably just change her name to "Karen". They have had our money for so long without giving us anything in return that we should probably be charging them interest.
I would not buy a stick of gum from this store, nevermind a piece of furniture. I cannot wait for this...
Read moreFits our space perfectly. Nice quality and great looks. We did have to order the Shelby counter height chairs which are much higher quality than the quick buys we got for the 6-8 week wait. The table was a return so we were given a little better deal and most importantly for us didn’t have to wait. I assume the gap was the reason for the return but a piece of tape on the underside blocking any light makes it almost unnoticeable. Overall, the 4 chairs, 1-36” bench, and 5 saddle style stools will tie the table and our 42”x 97” island together. The quality shows in the Shelby chairs and we expect the same when we replace the cheap online stools. For us, needing the table earlier than 6-8 weeks and this being our first store, we felt our sales rep was a little aggressive. However, when we returned because we do appreciate someone working hard, we did inform our greeter that we had worked with someone and from there it was a very pleasurable experience! She was very attentive, ran back and forth pricing options, and even gave us 10% off! We would recommend the Mavin tables/chairs as long as you are willing to wait and as this makes our third purchase from the chain, 2 at the Tuttle location and 1 at Polaris, we are very pleased with the sales associates help and their knowledge of their products.
