Right now DART is not on my top ten favorite places, things to do, places to recommend. However if you are a train jumper in order to commute to work like I am, then the safest place right now is to transfer is at Mockingbird/SMU though there is some construction work being done. Downtown has become a terrible representation for Dallas's handle with the homeless. Providing them a safe camp would be ideal instead of shipping them back down south from up north every weekend. It's just not fair to anyone but that's another story in itself.
But if you are going to swap trains or maybe even going to grab a bite to eat or see a movie at the Angelica, Mockingbird Station offers it all plus it's just a stones throw of a walk to Campisi's from the station. Wait.. did I mention Campisi's? Yeah.. it's just a short walk from the station... for the best pizza in town. That's C A M P I S I' S. Go there! (Kid tested and 58 years later...

I waited to get out of my car until he left because he was so aggressive. I was told I would be getting a call from the security manager for the incident and received nothing. I would have been willing to quietly let this go but the lack of respect to give me a call to address the issue is not right. Intimidating a female and ticketing their car for doing absolutely nothing wrong is not ok. There is no signage against pulling through a parking space and this was extremely unprofessional. You will scare off more customers with this type...

But the rest of the station is very deep in the ground, serviced by stairs, escalator and an elevator. There are automated ticket vending machines, but no turnstiles.
The station is on the Red, Orange and Blue lines, with Cityplace/Uptown the next station towards downtown and Lovers Lane the next station outbound (on the Red and Orange) or White Rock (on the Blue).
There is apparently free parking available upstairs and a few bicycle racks.
It was cool this far down but mostly because there was a bit...
