Amazing location! Hands down The best and most affordable hotel on Colfax. The hospital stuff away from the Ogden and Fillmore theaters. Great food and bars in every direction. I found this place will searching for affordable hotels downtown Denver. It was the first one that popped up and I decided to give a hotel a call directly to speak person to person. Found out the price match if I put directly through them and show proof of a cheaper price. I decided to go this direction when doing so I got to meet some of the amazing staff. A gentleman named Jason was working the desk and what a friendly guy he was and immediately told us a great places around and go. We got to the room and found a quaint and extremely clean bedroom. Great lighting the heat worked and hot water was running consistently. The only complaint would be that there's no fridge or microwave. Through our four nights day we had the pleasure of meeting many of the staff who would like to give a shout out to if you individuals specifically, (Jason, Arianna, Rose, and Joanna) oh yeah, and another gentleman named Rigo. He was one of the maintenance crew I believe who helped us push our car into a parking spot then continued to help us diagnose the issue. I will definitely be staying here the next time I visit Denver!!

Active drug use outside property. Within 10mins of arriving, I saw two different hand to hand drug deals in the parking lot. There were at least 15 homeless people right next to the entrance to the lobby all appeared to be high or drunk with trash everywhere. On the same block, I witnessed two people openly sitting on the street smoking a crack/meth pipe. The hotel looks nothing like the pictures and is a “motel” with all door entrances coming from outdoors. When I tried to talk to the front desk for some kind of refund due to safety concerns and the hotel looking nothing like the pictures, they said they were aware of the drug activity, but because it was not directly inside the hotel, there wasn’t anything they could do. Not only would they not refund me for the day I arrived, but they weren’t even willing to give me a partial refund for any of the future nights I had booked. My brother in law, who is a police officer in Boulder, was with me and told them they could call the police to clear the area but they were unwilling. Only time in my life I’ve ever decided to just eat the cost of a hotel due to safety and cleanliness concerns. Edit: the own/management has responded to my review, but I still stand by what I said. Our entire group all had the same problems. The owner contradicts him/herself in their response. They say they have had no criminal activity on their premises in 5 years, but then say they have contacted the City of Denver “many times” for the issues I mentioned. They are right in saying there is a concert venue close by, but the drug activities I and my brother in law witnessed was amongst the un-homed in the parking lot and around the premises when no concert was taking place. The truth is, this is a 1-2 star motel, mascaraing as a 3 star hotel, charging as much as the 3-4 star hotels less than a mile away in a safer part of town. Even if there isn’t any illegal activity directly inside of the hotel, do you really want your friends and family spending the night or walking around a block where the management of a hotel admits there is a drug activity?

I think if it wasn't dark when I arrived it would've been better. The hotel is surrounded by a security gate which is necessary to keep those not staying there out. It also does the job. In the daylight the area isn't bad & plenty of delicious restaurants, parks, & 16th street mall within walking distance. The area itself is loud, not far from a hospital so you'll hear sirens. I met some friendly & some not so friendly staff. The room itself was clean. Basic, but no complaints. The free breakfast consisted of coffee due to remodeling which looks like it will be nice, just not completed yet. It would've been nice to be told about that. Probably not the best for a young family. It worked great for my son & myself for a get away weekend. The price was very reasonable compared to what one pays closer or on 16th st mall.
