My nerdy side loves little gems like this store and makes me regret not having studied chemistry in high school. Luckily, my husband is well versed in chemistry and has fun helping me identify the makeup of varying minerals that seem of interest. :p There truly is something for everyone here, whether you want to spend a few dollars or hundreds of dollars on gifts for yourself or others. The owner and employee were ultra friendly, attentive, informative and helpful.
Some of the items I picked up includes a beautifully cut crystal to hang in my large window... (Who doesn't love rainbows shining into their homes every morning?!?) Several small mineral chip bracelets (4 for $10! Opalite, citrine, grey labrodite) a smooth rounded purple and blue chinese flurodite bracelet ($8) and a purple/blue/grey iridescent pendant ($12) which they strung on a thin black adjustable necklace for no additional cost.

Once you walk into the store, you are going to see SO MANY different types of gems, minerals and geodes that will mesmerize you. So much selection and prices starting in the $3-4 price range all the way up into the tens of thousands. You can spend a whole afternoon in here just to look around. The owner, Patty Rock Star, is truly that - a rock star - she is wonderfully knowledgeable and even gave a little talk about an especially rare and valuable diode with a 7-point star inside. Very friendly staff will walk you through anything you need - great place for gifts and Christmas shopping....

The quality of the stones is fantastic. Everything I saw was reasonably priced! I also really like how the shop is set up. Easy to look around and find something special. They also have a big globe thing with random tumbled rocks in it and you get to take one for free! You're supposed to keep it in your pocket and think about what you're grateful for whenever you touch it. Such a sweet little shop. Can't recommend enough! If you're in Glenwood springs make sure...
