Greenville County Square — Local services in Greenville

The services provided were great and the people were nice. The website gives wrong info on where to go for a homestead exemption sending you to the auditor. It is a 30 step staircase up to the auditor. They send you back down to real estate services. There is a new parking garage. The elevator door opened and got stuck halfway open after a several minute wait. We took the steps. The walkway to the new buildings is on the 4th floor. It is a long walk to the buildings. I will park in the old surface lot in the future. There is no signage available until you go in a building where there are TV monitors. Hopefully they will simulate the senior's or first time visitors experience and make improvements. The design has lots of empty space in the lobby. Work cubicles look really tiny, and the entry/exit from departments is clunky. I'm sure they will be fine tuning for a while. A covered walkway from the parking garage to the buildings would have been a nice touch. It's...

Aesthetically pleasing but still the same slow service. Large waiting lobbies with lots of echo make it hard to hear your name being called or even the person at the window. Also, seating is scarce. The parking and getting to the building and where u need to go is extremely confusing & a long walk, which I’m fine with but I don’t appreciate going in circles not knowing where to go.
