Do you love walking, hiking, biking? If so you are going to be interested into the Swamp Classic Trail located in Greenville South Carolina. The Swamp Classic Trail is for all ages to enjoy, because their is adventures for everyone. My family and I decided to take a trip up to Greenville and bike ride the trail.
The Swamp Rabbit Trail is a 22 miles long paved route that goes through the city of Greenville. While on the trail you can either bike ride, run, or just go for a quick walk (by yourself or with your pet). One aspect of the Swamp Rabbit Trail I really like is the.widness of the pavement, because I don't have to worry about running into people. Thoughtout my time bike riding, I noticed that the path were kept up to matience, which I really liked. In addition, throughout the trail their are maps posted to show you where you are. If you are worried about having to use the restroom, don't worry because there is bathroom facilities located along the path. Furthermore, If you are feeling hungry you could grab a quick bite at the Swamp Rabbit Cafe that is located right on the trail.
Another feature I like about the Swamp Rabbit Trail is the local art features that are scattered throughout the trail. On my bike ride I seen beautiful murals, iron artwork, bridges, and so much more. My daughter had a fun time taking photos in front of the ironrod Rabbit.
I know you may be wondering, where do you park? There is free parking available at the Greenville, and the trail is easily assembly front this parking area. If this parking lot is full you can also park in other areas around the Greenville city that are free, but you will have to do some research through. Don't worry about being far from the trail, because their is multiple entrance to the Swamp Rabbit Trail.
Lastly, if you are in the area or just planning a trip to Greenville South Carolina you should definitely go to the Swamp Rabbit Trail with the whole family, because you definitely have an amazing time. I hope to get to the Swamp Rabbit Trail sure because I...
Read moreA+++ PROSVERY Clean and kept up. Bathrooms were also clean and well placed. Several places to grab lunch that had bike racks to lock your bikes and people watch or bring your own lunch and eat at one of several picnic tables. I thought I wasn't going to be able to carry my weapon but the no guns sign was for the zoo. There was a bike shop midway which included a very thorough bike washing station. Didn't bring your bike? Plenty of electric bike rentals. The water falls were awesome but probably would have been better if it had rained in the last ten days. Plenty of play areas for kids with a water park, rock climbing wall see (drone shots). It even had a snow cone truck. Very dog friendly with pooey bags throughout. CONSThe trail isn't marked in some spots leaving you wondering if you were on the right route. We have recumbent bikes and there were 2 hills we had to get off and push our bikes. It was really to crowded to get a workout on the bikes. Could have been the beautiful weather and...
Read moreThere was so many trails to take around the area, and they are all so beautiful. It's very scenic, forested and serene. Some forested trails aren't maintained so be sure to cover up. It's SO beautiful out there. There's even eco-friendly gym "equipment" throughout the park so you can do gym outside. Lots and lots of water fountains that work.
There is a large park for children to play in the central area of the park, along with the zoo just half a mile away, some decently clean outdoor restrooms, and an electric bike station next to the restrooms. We got a discount and rented 2 but unfortunately my bike was dead and so was the other 4. The bikes have baskets which is useful. There's a huge gazebo for you to sit and snack, but the whole area was trashed because of children throwing their food everywhere and not picking up, which is ironic considering there are signs everywhere to keep...
